I LOVE this shop! It’s one of the things i look the most forward to when i come here besides getting to see all the pretty flowers and sometimes art pieces, bunny rabbits, chipmunks, cute birds, and lovely butterflies! This store has so much from stuff for children to adults, even little science experiments, things to help you raise butterflies including a coupon to help afford the caterpillars for the enclosure. There are also puppets, t-shirts, hats, plants (of course) and seeds, furniture, food spreads they make themselves with the vegetables and flowers they grow themselves, bookmarks, magnets, jewelry, books, and my favorite…SOAP! Yes that sounds crazy but 1) they use a lot of the stuff they grow and 2) it has been the best soaps i and my SO has ever used on ourselves. ALL the oil comes off! So much so it almost feels different, your skin, because mine is so oily and never had a product that got it ALL out. My favorites are the exfoliating Zinnia, and the Orchid soap. I have very sensitive skin and has never harmed me. I love it so much. I and the people i live with want to come back even if JUST for more soap. Even the packaging is cute. Please don’t stop making them, especially the Zinnia soaps and the Orchid soaps… ITS TOO GOOD! My SO said if felt so natural and familiar like the soap he grew up with in DR. It felt so nostalgic to my SO while to me it was a new and beautiful experience. We refuse to live without it now. DO NOT GET RID OF THESE SOAPS!!!! they’re the best purchases we have EVER made. We need them, we love them, as well as everything else sold in the store. Infinity percent...

An awesome huge garden in the Bronx, You find hidden trails, museum, Theatre, water brooks, cascades, trees, herb gardens, rose gardens rock garden, a huge planetarium. A children garden and learning center. Special events all year round. There is a great cafe with pastries, soups, and sandwiches. A must stop, the shop, gifts/plants/books/stationery, etc., the shop is endless. You go in to browse but guarantee you will make a purchase. They have parking, and when full, you can park in Fordham University across the garden. I love this garden!!! I recommend avoiding traffic and taking the metro north train. It leaves you across the garden. Another option is taking the subway, but you need to transfer to a bus. it's more hectic. I need to mention they have at certain times a trolley, and it stops all over the garden. The garden is wheel chair accessible. They have a few wheel chairs available but on a first come basis. The staff are friendly and informative and always ready to help. Gosh, this review turned long lol, I am just always excited to visit never a...

One of my favorite places to shop for plants. They always have a great variety of plants and the plants are affordable. Here, you can normally find a good selection of ficus plants (lyrata, elastica and elastica ‘Tineke’, prayer plants, ferns (blue star, staghorn fern, rabbits foot, button, Boston), Aroids and dracaenas. The staff is knowledgeable, so don’tnbe afraid to ask questions to them. They also have a wide selection of ceramic pots and terra cotta. Also there is a large selection of succulents and larger plants. It’s worth a visit whenever you travel to the park, or if you’re a NYer and want more than just the...

I adore this gift shop. It’s a beautiful boutique for all things green. Herbs and exotic plants, soil, books, seeds, organic soaps and perfumes, spices and oils, trendy eco trinkets, and much much more…all arranged meticulously with love and care. I recently purchased 2 magnificent Bonsai trees (along with several other plants) as I trust this store to provide quality horticulture at a decent price. Ashley and Natasha were beyond helpful and made sure that I went home with the plants I wanted. All of the staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. I truly appreciate this gem of a shop.

Love the Botanical Garden. However, they are still charging full price $25 even though a lot is not open ,and parts of the conservatory are closed due to set up for the train show, understandable but at least give a discount. Unfortunately the selection of places to eat are limited because the garden changed the cafe venue. Still worth the visit but just know some the areas are closed. We actually had a nice time just walking the grounds which is only $15. If you're a member then it's fine because everything is included.
