Alaya is the best. My hair is thick and at times unmanageable, but she took her time with it. She did not treat my natural hair like it was a nuisance instead she treated my hair like it was her own, with extreme care. She oiled the ends of my hair before installing anything and her additional detangling was done gently. Around my edges (actually around my entire head) she was very light handed and I have zero worries about having my hairline pushed back. She was quick installing them (I was only there a little over 4 hours) but it never felt like she was rushing me out of there. She was constantly checking in to make sure I was okay. I can’t express enough how happy iam to have found Alaya!!! From the moment I reached out to her she was nothing but professional. She responded quickly and was very thorough. I sent her a photo of what I wanted and expressed my expectations. She was even better in person she made me feel very comfortable as if I’ve known her forever. Which was a big plus because there’s nothing worse then sitting with another person for hours and not having any communication or conversation. She kept asking me if I was okay through the process which I appreciated. The overall outcome was everything I wanted and MORE! I've never visited this shop before, I'm new to the East coast from California and I'm on the lookout for a new braider. I came upon this shop and was immediately intrigued so I started looking into the services offered and the reviews. The woman who owns this business is absolutely unprofessional, the manner in which she responds to people leaving reviews is disgusting, immature, and embarrassing.
