I was born and raised out here in FarRockaway/Rockaway Beach. I grew up on this whole Peninsula, and I don't want to leave..In The Summertime the Beach is packed with people having fun in the water and the sun.. It's always great music playing,whether it's someone radio or most likely on 92nd under the pavilion and on 95th street next to some great restaurants is live bands performing some really good originals and/or good covers... Let me go back a few lines here and talk about the great restaurants with some great food... Whether it's whole pizza pies that's cooked with burning wood,yeah so you know that's some seriously great pizza. If pizza not your thing they do have a variety of restaurants on the boardwalk on 86 street and 95th street. Check it out,I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed,MAYBE tired and drained of energy at the end of the day, but you will have fun and eat good.. THAT'S ALOT OF PRECIOUS...
Read moreThis is one of the area's that they are still fixing up from Big Sandy! It's between 32nd Street & 58th Street along the semi new (Boardwalk) beach walk that was finished in 2016-17. This area has always been, as far as I know. From the mid 80's until current, beach land such as small tree's, bushes, grass, sand, and area's of illegally dumped garbage. They have made small attempts of doing things in the area in the past in which was a waste of money! Such as where you see the Heavy Equipment was a under kept no light basketball park. If you want to call it that? And most wouldn't come down this far at night, before they built the houses along the beach 61st. to 73rd st. 72 st. was the turn around for alot of joggers and bike riders from uptown. I can understand that! It didn't bother me since I'm from the hood! LoL, I guess things...
