This is one of the area's that they are still fixing up from Big Sandy! It's between 32nd Street & 58th Street along the semi new (Boardwalk) beach walk that was finished in 2016-17. This area has always been, as far as I know. From the mid 80's until current, beach land such as small tree's, bushes, grass, sand, and area's of illegally dumped garbage. They have made small attempts of doing things in the area in the past in which was a waste of money! Such as where you see the Heavy Equipment was a under kept no light basketball park. If you want to call it that? And most wouldn't come down this far at night, before they built the houses along the beach 61st. to 73rd st. 72 st. was the turn around for alot of joggers and bike riders from uptown. I can understand that! It didn't bother me since I'm from the hood! LoL, I guess things are looking up?

On Wednesday, September 21st, the LAST full-day of summer, we walked the length of the Rockaways Boardwalk, part of it wading at the water's edge and gathering seashells. It is quite lovely and varied, and is much quieter and calmer than the Brooklyn Beaches. We saw surfers and surf-casting fishers; one had caught a large flounder that was still flopping. As the sun sank towards the horizon, we ended at the easternmost end, at Beach 9th Street, right across from Nassau County. It was a perfect day!

Sunday, May 22nd at Rockaway BEACH. GORGEOUS DAY to be at the Beach. *VERY HOT* *Not too crowded. *NO SWIMMING as *NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY, but people just dunked in to refresh. *Water temp was refreshing. *SEVERAL DOGS ON THE BEACH HAVING A BALL AND OWNERS WERE VERY RESPECTFUL..! *PARKS DEPT PRESENT PATROLLING FOR COMPLIANCE-NO ISSUES NOTED. *ICE CREAM/ICE VENDORS ON THE BEACH WITH CARTS. *SO NICE TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL BEACH CLOSE TO HONE. *JETTY's are done on several streets and are BEAUTIFUL.

I was born and raised out here in FarRockaway/Rockaway Beach. I grew up on this whole Peninsula, and I don't want to leave..In The Summertime the Beach is packed with people having fun in the water and the sun.. It's always great music playing, whether it's someone radio or most likely on 92nd under the pavilion and on 95th street next to some great restaurants is live bands performing some really good originals and/or good covers... Let me go back a few lines here and talk about the great restaurants with some great food... Whether it's whole pizza pies that's cooked with burning wood, yeah so you know that's some seriously great pizza. If pizza not your thing they do have a variety of restaurants on the boardwalk on 86 street and 95th street. Check it out,I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed,MAYBE tired and drained of energy at the end of the day, but you will have fun and eat good.. THAT'S ALOT OF PRECIOUS...

Rockaway Beach Boardwalk is a vibrant hub of activity in Queens, New York, stretching from Beach 3rd to Beach 153rd Street. This bustling boardwalk is a year-round destination for residents and visitors alike, offering a variety of recreational facilities such as playgrounds, eateries, and sports courts. It’s particularly lively in the summer, with beachgoers enjoying the sand, surf, and an array of concessions. The boardwalk also serves as a symbol of New York’s resilience, having undergone restoration after Superstorm Sandy. Whether you’re looking to catch some waves at the city’s only legal surfing beach or simply soak up the sun, Rockaway Beach Boardwalk provides the perfect...
