Stop & Shop — Local services in New York

So, first and foremost...I am a USPS worker. The reason I am leaving this review, is the same reason many of you don't get your mail on time. Which is, poor work ethic. I left work at 3am this morning and have not had any sleep as of yet. I needed to go grocery shopping this morning and so I did. I made it to the Supermarket, a little after 7am. I am not a fan of the self-service registers. When I come home from a long day on my feet, I want to be served. Anyway, an older, very slim and short female told me she could take me on 9. Meaning, register 9. She had gloves on, a broom in one hand and a dustpan in the other. I told her okay. I began unloading my cart, while she took no more than 15 seconds to finish sweeping. When she was done, she made her way to register 9 and proceeded to begin ringing my grocery items.

I leaned in forward, to ask her could she change her gloves. She couldn't hear me the first time, so...I repeated myself for her. Very politely she told me no. I said no, okay and I removed the Items I had place off of the register belt. I went to the next line. As I was unloading my cart, I explained to the next female what had transpired between me and her coworker. She stated, well maybe she didn't have anymore gloves. Like what?? Lol How is that acceptable?? I once watched a guy in another Stop&Shop, scratch his back WITH his gloves on. Of course, I reported him to a supervisor. Come on people, we MUST DO BETTER!! I know there are germs all around us but...the goal should be to minimize the amount of germs we have to come in contact with. Please, get your cashiers some gloves...

I usually order here weekly and I have to say my orders have been coming in slow like nobody is doing there job this week last week was fine but it seems like your workers have gotten mad lazy all of the sudden unless its just me but ive heard other people complain that there orders were also being held back im very disappointed with this knowing im a customer who orders here weekly or even comes in the store. And I dont even like coming in the store because of some of your workers this happened like a few weeks ago maybe your employees act like lunatics yelling screaming like there in a playground but there in a job and has to do the work instead of fool around. Also there is parts of the place that smell really bad and ive seen spills on the floor lots of times while coming there. I almost ran into a cart one time because people just leave them laying around if you could atleadt have someone move it or move it yourself. I dont think I'll ever order here again as a long term customer what happened to me this week was just annoying a girl was like hours late with my order which was really annoying I was having a party that day just so you know. I am a seventy four year old man who has been shopping here for a long time. The other day I had a really nice cashier who was very pleasant, her name was Danielle or Daniela, I honestly cannot remember. Some things have not been as delightful, though. I rarely come into the store since I usually order online, but the service has been very slow lately which is why I decided to shop inside. I remember a nice young lady named Arianna who was always very good to me. I have not seen her in a while and I hope she is still working there. I have also had problems with some of the cashiers who were simply rude and seemed not to have been guided to reach their potential in terms of manners. That is all I have to say.
