Sam's Art & Framing inc. — Attraction in New York

I bought a piece of artwork online; I received it as an ustretched canvas. I found Sam on Google and immediately called him to see if he stretched canvases, to which he replied “yes” and advised me to come in with the artwork to discuss how we would proceed with mounting it onto a frame, pricing, etc.

I went in and he immediately tended to me; he unrolled the artwork and explained to the T his exact process. The piece of artwork came crooked, which made it much more difficult for him. But he measured it out right in front of me and said that he would make it work.

When I received the finished product, I was absolutely amazed by how excellent it turned out. I was amazed by how he was able to straighten out the artwork and mount it so beautifully onto the wooden frame. The canvas was stretched tightly, he had added in two rings with stainless steel wire coated in plastic, and taped on two packages of brass hooks for me to mount it on my wall. I had no idea that he would be providing all of the extra equipment to mount the artwork; I just thought he was going to stretch the canvas and call it a day.

The precision that he applies in his work is both impressive and clear in portraying his experience in custom framing. I am extremely happy that I decided to come to Sam instead of a Michaels or any other crafts store. He shows his passion through his work, he keeps a very tight and organized ship in his shop, he gives you exactly what you ask for and delivers the finished product with finesse.

You won’t be disappointed by his work. The time that he gets the work done and the quality of the product are well worth the price he charges for it. I will definitely be returning to him to get all of my custom...

When my wife and I decided to have our artwork framed, we “googled” (like everyone else does these days), searching for someone capable of doing the best possible job. Sam’s Art and Framing Shop came up and since it is located in Flushing, not far from our home, we decided to pay them a visit, bringing along three or four of our favorite pieces. Upon arrival, we noticed and liked the intimacy of the place. Sam's is a relatively small shop, very well equipped, and the artwork that is displayed on its walls is indeed amazing!! Upon meeting Sam, the proprietor, his happy demeanor, relaxed ways, self-assuredness and charisma made us feel right at home and very much at ease. Here is a man who is obviously very experienced at his craft, somebody who truly loves what he does. We had a few ideas of our own regarding what we had in mind. Sam made some suggestions which we really liked, so we simply let him “take over.” He showed us a very extensive variety of mattings, framing materials, colors, finishes, etc., which he felt would best fit each one of our pieces. The deal was worked out and we left with a real sense of anticipation. When we got the finished product, we were beyond thoroughly and completely satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship of Sam's work! Needless to say, the pieces look amazing on our walls, and we only have one regret: not having had this work done sooner! I would give Sam 10 stars! Sam is, most definitely, the man!!

I went to Sam’s, and i had an idea to show my appreciation to our softball team, for winning the Enterprise wide softball tournament. Sam not only did phenomenal Job, but he waiting patiently to be paid. Ladies and gentlemen I was in a situation, I needed 13 large format frames with the works, and this gentleman trusted me..Like I was his Actual Son. The quality of the frames and superb, workman ship, the neatness, the care and love that i watch this gentleman applied with was truly inspiring.

Mr. Sam I am extremely pleased with the professional manner in which you treated me. I am glad to report that I will be going back to Mr. Sam’s store for the rest of my natural life, I have not experienced such love and respect for another business person in the capacity Mr. Sam exhibited. “Also he make a wonderful coffee”
