We went to Zabiha Burger & Fries after trying them once during their grand opening. We weren’t very impressed with the food the first time around but figured we could give them a second chance.
We asked if they were still open and the guy at the front said they usually close at 2 AM but because of Thanksgiving, they’ll close early around 1 AM. We got there around 12:30ish and thought that we could dine in but he told us we couldn’t because unfortunately they needed to close early. He made it seem as though we would be the last customers. However, we ended up eating in the car and he didn’t lock up and other people came in, so we didn’t understand why we couldn’t have just dined in real quick til he closed shop? We had even cleaned the table we sat at earlier, so that should have been an indicator of the fact that we wouldn’t have left a mess behind anyway.
We got the flame broiled burger, a spicy chicken sandwich, and the loaded fries. The loaded fries were not filled to the top as shown in other pictures. It would’ve been okay if it was actually cheesy or tasted like loaded fries, but there were only 4 pieces of bacon and a ton of bbq sauce. It might float your boat though!
The burger had a smoky smell/taste which was good and the spicy chicken sandwich was good too. I’d recommend the burger over the chicken sandwich.

The restaurant has a casual and inviting vibe, with a clean and modern interior that is perfect for enjoying a meal with friends and family. The menu offers a variety of burgers, including classic beef burgers, as well as chicken and lamb options. All of the burgers are made with high-quality ingredients, and the meat is always fresh and juicy.
The loaded fries at Zabiha Burger & Fries are also a standout feature. They are crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, making them the perfect accompaniment to the burgers. In addition to burgers and fries, the restaurant also offers a selection of sides.
The service at Zabiha Burger & Fries is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are always happy to answer any questions and make recommendations. The prices are also very reasonable, especially given the quality of the food and the generous portions.

Burger - 4.0, decent, balanced, and surprisingly good for a store that doesn't specialize in burgers but pricey
Chopped cheese - 3.5 , lacks both the melted cheese and maillard reaction taste but will fill you. Definitely overpriced.
Loaded fries - 2.5. Subpar fries. There is no beef or bacon option, the menu is a lie. Only grilled chicken. Also there is no cheese. Again, the menu is a lie. They use some in-house zabiha sauce. Reeks of cost-cutting which puts a bad taste in customer's mouth.
Chicken over rice - 3, flame-grilled chicken is a novelty but holy shit is it not worth it. For $12 plus change this is all you get? At Sammy's halal, you get chicken over rice plus battered fries at 5/5 quality for $12 flat. On the taste perspective, the acridity of flame-grilling a neutral white meat like chicken does not pair with the also neutral palette of rice. Off-balanced.
Overall, Zabiha has a local monopoly for the dishes they offer at this corner of Flushing, and they might persist depending on input costs and the gullibility of the local clientele but they are not for the price-conscious or those seeking for quality fidelity. Good...
