Social House Event Space — Attraction in New York

I had been planning for a big bash to celebrate my Dirty Thirty for awhile, and it turned out that the original venue I picked had overbooked by mistake. I was crushed, completely ready to give up on my plan for a huge bash when my sister mentioned having seen Social House on her drive home, and just by chance we contacted them and Chris invited us to come down that very night to check the space out. I am convinced it was fate that had my original choice overbooked, because that lead to me finding the absolute gem of a venue right in Maspeth.

Chris was very helpful from the start in helping my put together my vision for a Roaring 20s Party. He answered all my questions and was extremely accommodating with any hiccup that came along the way. His eagerness to make sure I had everything I wanted really made him above and beyond anyone I had ever worked with. He even helped me find a DJ, who was a BIG hit at the party.

The day of the party went smoothly, and it was what my whole family is calling the best birthday they have ever attended. Carolina was an absolute doll, extremely helpful and just wonderful. Chris was on site and just as helpful with any and everything we needed. We all danced all night and had a party that all of us will remember forever, and it wouldn't have been possible without Social House and their amazing staff.

We threw my daughter a Going Away to College party here and it ended up the best party we’ve ever had. The Social House Family does a great job with this business - it’s a nice, clean space and they’re really great people to work with.

Chris did everything he could to make our experience smooth and easy. And, our bartender, Kelly, was the very best! She worked her tail off to interact with so many of my guests - she certainly helped maintain a very happy party vibe.

The space is perfect for a medium party - we had about 60 people. The bar is a good size. There is one nice-sized, clean bathroom between the bar and dance floor. We didn’t have a DJ but it worked really well; we invested time beforehand to make a 6-hour playlist and had no issues with playback whatsoever. In fact, my daughter’s friends easily switched up the music as they wanted simply by using our iPad that was connected to Social House’s sound system.

There were no issues with food either - they provided the food racks and we supplied the food and sterno candles. It really was a very easy setup. And the staff was so awesome with their clean up, it was just so smooth and helpful.

I had my girlfriends surprise birthday party at this location and it was the best decision I could have made. Chris and his whole team made my party run smoothly, efficiently and great. We did not need a dj because the sound system was amazing and I made a playlist on spotify which I had logged in to at the location. Chris was very approachable, helpful, and knowledgeable during the entire planning process. Since my work schedule is not your normal 9-5 I thought it would be an issue getting in touch however Chris was always available whenever had any questions.
