The Crystal Room — Attraction in New York

Soo… I would just like to start off with I was invited last week to a party at this Hall and the things that I saw in this place I wouldn’t believe it I can’t believe it still can’t believe what I saw and things that I was told by staff is beyondd. So first thing the owners play nice in your face while as soon as they go thru kitchen doors they start putting there non washed fingers in customers food it’s like if it’s a family BBQ in the kitchen. Also… what really caught my eye and made me think this place needs to be shut down due to the minors making and serving alcoholic beverages. Also the bartenders tried walking my sister to her car just to beg for a tip. The workers are lazy all of them look high the entire time and it doesn’t give a good look for the business. Also I was told by one of the bartenders that they get paid only 100$ a party also boss takes workers gratuity that’s illegal and it’s messed up when it looked like he be slaving the workers this person should get into a lot of trouble especially with having minors work and stealing workers money just to give underpayment this place is noo good. If u don’t believe it well u better cause these ppl don’t care about there business or customers not even there workers they only care about is taking all the money they can from last weeks experience I would never go again I’m truly disgusted and disappointed in this place someone needs to shut this place...

The Crystal Room is a beautiful place to have a party. Both of their rooms are equally nice and they have plenty of parking on site. That's always a plus. The food was actually very good which is surprising because a lot catering halls don't do such a great job with food. The only thing I would take out of their menu is the shake n bake chicken.

The staff was very nice! From the coat check, to the servers and the bartender. They were all very friendly and professional except for one lady who was on the serving staff. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know, but during the speeches at the event I attended you could hear her loudly speaking in the back by the bar and she also walked through some of the acknowledgements that were taking place on the floor. I realize that she has to do her job and serve, but she could have used better discretion. She also forgot to bring coffee to our table. Then, at the end of the night when the party was over and we were all packing up the decorations, she snapped at some of the kids who were popping the balloons. This is not new. Kids run around after a party while the adults are busy trying to pack up the decorations and things. This can't be her first time experiencing this, and if she felt like it was becoming too much for her to handle, she should have stepped away for a few minutes to get herself composed. My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Crystal Room about two and a half weeks ago and it was everything we wanted and more. The room looked beautiful, the food was awesome, and the service was superb. We live in Boston but were getting married in my hometown of Staten Island, which could have made planning stressful but Louis made it easy. He answered each of my many emails within in a day of receiving them and was very flexible in working with our needs. For instance, they moved the entire fruit appetizer to the dessert course for us. Everyone loved the food, including our vegan and gluten-free guests. The cocktail hour was so impressive, many of our guests thought it was the meal! The meal itself very good. I know my fillet mignon was cooked perfectly. We hadn't ordered special meals for the three middle-schoolers but the kitchen pulled through and provided chicken fingers without me even asking. The wait staff was extremely attentive, even checking in to make sure my husband and I ate during all the excitement. On top of all that the location is convenient with great parking and the gazebo outside makes for cute photos. We even did a poetry reading in the gazebo that our guests loved. I wouldn't hesitate to book the Crystal Room for any future events and I will recommend them to...
