This is a decent beach for Staten Island. I live in Tottenville so it is a bit far for me, but it is worth the drive considering you have two options. Either you go to New Jersey and you pay for tolls and also for parking and to also go to the beach itself. Or you go to this beach in Staten Island where everything is free definitely not a comparison. However, I will say that the sand was quite dirty Filled with a lot of debris and also I saw some used syringes. It would be nice if the New York City parks department would clean the sand just a little bit but maybe they’re just asking for too much. The water, however, was very nice when I arrived to the beach, the water had a little bit of foamy bubbles, which went away after half an hour, and then the water was clear and beautiful definitely, I would recommend this beach to anyone who lives on the island as even though the sand was dirty. La playa estaba limpia, y hermosa!
El agua estaba muy fría, más de lo que me esperaba encontrar. (Estuvimos aquí en agosto, para que quede claro la fecha a quienes lean en un futuro este comentario). El lugar muy concurrido, debe ser porque era domingo; El estacionamiento a casi medio bloque porque no encontramos lugar más cerca, pero vimos que en la calle de la misma playa era gratis el estacionamiento, pero debes ir muy temprano imagino (nosotros llegamos a las 9 de la mañana y ya estaba lleno)
Salvavidas? No lo sé, al menos yo, no ví ninguno, y eso que me quedé como 4 horas, pocos establecimientos cercanos dónde comprar algo, pero a unos minutos si se encuentran un par de cosas.
Que si puedes entrar comida? Porsupuesto que si! Muchos llevaban y disfrutaban en la playa, nosotros también llevamos bebidas y comidas.
Que si volvería? Claro que sí! No veo razón de porque no! Pero lo haría luego de conocer...
