Old Town Playground — Attraction in New York

We went there mostly for the pool. It was a decent size. Lifeguard on duty all the time. There are also security on duty. The pool is 4 ft deep all along. Kids shorter than 4 ft must be accommodated with adults. The playground itself is large , there is also a basketball court. Location wise, it is next to a project. So safety could be a concern. I always feel that this park is neglected. I do not like that it is facing the cemetery. Also last time when we were there one one of the wooden top slides had beehive in it. The kids warned us when we were climbing up. It is the closest to home but it does not feel like a good park to me although equiped with all necessary stuff. Also no special needs swing is another deal...

They've remodeled the basket ball court, and the pool is under repair as well. I think this community park has so much potential with better funding. Speed bumps have been added as well for the safety of the children. The kids from the neighborhood have a lot of fun here...
