Terminal 1 — Restaurant in New York

United is doing their best to improve.. and, with the volume of people that move through this terminal at EWR, I think they've done well, given the physical constraints. Check-in flows well, Getting into security is awkward, but it flows well, gate areas have seen big changes with all the new places to eat. Problem with this.. these are located in the middle of the walk area.. which impedes movement through the terminal area.. people trying to make flights. Travel is always stressful. It's sad to see this place fall apart. The food keeps getting worse and worse. And the wait staff is horrible, two weeks ago we came in waited 40 min for someone to realize we came in and get a menu then another 30 min for them to come back for Us to order. Oh and when you order pierogies make sure you order utensils as well so that you dont have to wait for them to realize you're calling them over to get utensils while your food is getting cold. Have been there twice and will be back for more. It is a surprising place. Quiet and dark on the outside, lively inside. It is a bar scene yet I use it as a place to feel comfortable and eat. Have to tune out all the TV's and sometimes the music gets loud. The guys in the kitchen make grood food which changes a little with how long it's cooked.
