I was new to manicures, but went with my sister to get a French Gel manicure and regular pedicure, no tips or anything. The woman who I had was named Yo Yo and she really hurt my cuticles by filling so hard with a used file. I told her several times that she was hurting me and she would laugh and say no hurt, but finally put some medicine when she saw that I was bleeding. I tried to take it in stride since I didn’t get professional manicures, but I didn’t think it was supposed to hurt so much. I asked for designs but she only showed me stickers. I picked out 2 butterflies, but I really wanted something fancier for my wedding. I should have asked for someone else who knew how to draw designs instead of stickers. Anyway I paid her the 70 for the gel French manicure with 2 butterfly stickers and a regular French Pedicure. I felt like it was a lot for what I got but didn’t complain since I didn’t know prices. When I got home my two fingers still hurt, but I was leaving the next day to go to Florida to married so I figured it would get better. It actually hurt me for the two weeks I was there until I came back and told them what happened. The only woman there who spoke English was Anna and she agreed to redo my manicure at no charge. This is my only reason for the two stars. She was gentle and told me that the other woman filed my nails too much causing ingrown hang nails which caused the infection I got. I definitely recommend her if you go there, but this experience caused me to not want to return. Another tip for people like me new to manicures: if you get a gel manicure get a base coat first and ask the person not to file the top of your nails since it makes them weak. I had to wind up getting acrylic tips since my once thick nails became thin as paper and would break so easily. Also the gel polish does not come off unless it’s filed off, even special acetone remover I bought won’t take it off. This forces you to go back to the salon and keep getting manicures. My cousin uses the powder dip and said it lasts longer than gel and makes your nails stronger and less breakable, but I haven’t...
Read moreOn 3/16 I went to the salon at 4pm and was sat with Grace the girl with the bob and glasses. Grace rushed my acrylic set and I left without the design I had wanted. I will say I was the one who chose to leave without the design. To start off she grabbed my phone to look at the design and left it to her side, by the end of the appointment I had acrylic on my screen that is still stuck on it as I type this. I left because Grace kept complaining the whole time about the design I asked for. She wanted to use the art foils instead of painting them with gel as gel would take more time and I said okay because it would be quicker. She wasn’t able to make the foil work so she kept huffing and puffing about the design she would have to make with gel. If she had told me the design was too hard or she couldn’t do it, I would have understood but to be talking about it to her coworkers complaining and getting upset in my face is just frustrating because she’s communicating to everyone but me. I felt uncomfortable having her do the design if it was just going to make her mad so I just told her to leave the nails as they were and then that’s when she was telling me she could paint it on one finger but at the point I was already frustrated and I just wanted to leave. When I had to pay, my boyfriend payed with his card and she was looking to see how much she was going to get tipped and once she took the receipt she became visibly upset there was no tip on the receipt. What she didn’t know was that I was giving her tip cash. I was a regular at this salon but after that interaction I wouldn’t go there again. The French nails are what I ended up with which I’m not mad about and the following picture is my phone screen with the acrylic on it and the French with the flowers were...
Read moreI spent $60 and 3 hours for SNS and a pedicure, the pedicure was done so poorly and I was so exhausted after 3 hours to wait longer to fix it so I arranged to come back to fix. The very next day after my SNS was done my nail cracked right in half, I went back and they told my it was because my nails were too long, I’ve been doing SNS for a year and never had this issue. They fixed the broken nail and I expressed my concern about the cracks in my other nails, so they painted acrylic under my nail, later that same day my nail cracked and the other ones are each cracking. Frustrated having to go back for the third time, I called and spoke the manager he is now saying he will fix the cracked nails, I think it’s fair to redo the whole set and the manager refused. This is not the first time I have done SNS and when I get my Nails done I’m fortunate enough that the set will last me almost a whole month, I will never recommend this salon and their service is terrible they will not get a penny from me!
REPLY TO MANAGERS RESPONSE—
I spent hours to leave unhappy and have to return to redo and fix only a day later, tips or gratitude is based upon satisfaction of the service performed and this service was poorly Performed and over priced. Why would I leave a tip if I was not happy with the outcome after paying $60 ? Give more money and my nails are still breaking only day later, so far 5 of my nails are cracked and that doesn’t include the one that I had to go back to fix! Now I have to spend more time going back when I shouldn’t have to come back 2 times to fix 5 cracked nails not even a week later, not even 3 days later! This is ridiculous, I will be back to get my refund for your poor services and unwillingness to...
