West Playground — Attraction in New York

;; i come here with my year and a half old son almost everyday. Its a nice place for kids. Way better than what it used to be when i was younger. Metal sticking out. The playground was all wood and i used to get splinters like crazy. Now it's all nice and colorful. I would say its pretty safe for young children. Youre always gonna have to watch the little ones so they dont fall down anywhere but that's just a given. My son loves the colors and he likes to climb up the stairs to go upto the wiggly slide. Also loves the swings over there. They only have swings for young children tho. But thats alright. Very nice park. There is always other children over there to play with. But i would just suggest in the cold weather for kids to wear gloves because its made out of steel or some sort of metal and it does get cold. Other than that its a nice park and i love going there. A lot to do in this park for kids and even adults. There are consistently guys playing soccer. If soccer is not your thing, there is also baseball and track fields that are in good condition for you to use. There is even handball courts in this park.One negative point is its hard to recommend the basketball courts that are in this park because of uneven floors that will consistently hurt your feet, that is the only reason for loosing a star. Otherwise, bring your kids, watch them run around an elephant making a fountain. Fun...

Huge area, including a gym area, basketball courts, a very large playground, handball court/tennis wall, benches, water fountains, and a soccer field in the center.
