I went to the Newark Sportfield Park to watch my husband playing a soccer game. It was a Saturday afternoon and the whether was very nice even though it was very hot. I didn't find many shadow available close to the fields, however; I found a very good sport with a small shadow in the grass so I could laydown and watched the game. This park has lot's of fields which people can do reservations and play sports and have classes. There os also a water park inside a big construction in the center of the park. Read moreIt’s unfortunate that this park is so small, it gets packed inside quickly & it can get hectic, especially when the main space is either the run up or landing space of almost all of the obstacles inside the park (besides the bowl).
Nonetheless, it’s an amazing park to skate at when it’s not so crowded (early morning, some evenings) and the obstacles and pavement have maintained impeccable quality over the years. Definitely worth checking out; besides, the community is friendly, so the crowdedness isn’t such a bad thing...
