I've been a long time returner to Huong Lan Sandwiches and the Noodle House that is in the shared space. In fact, I remember when it first opened. Honestly, nowadays, I return because of the bahn mi. The customer service is hit or miss, depending on who you interact with. But, no matter what, I am a fan of Bahn Mi and will continue to return when I crave Vietnamese sandwiches.
Usual food order: Korean KBBQ Beef Bahn mi and Korean Spicy Beef Sandwich - Both are delicious and to be frank, I really enjoy most bahn mis and I like how they have these marinated options for the meat.
I usually do take out: order, head to the bakery/deli/Lion supermarket, come back to pick up my order. I go to other places since it does take a while for the sandwiches to be put together, and additional time for the baguettes...
Read moreFantastic banh mi, free tea and lots of seating. They also have two flat screen TVs playing sports! I don't recall the price of the sandwiches, but I remember it being OMG cheap (less than $3). Their baguettes are authentic and the fillings are fresh.
Located in the Lion Supermarket shopping center, they are just to the right of them. You can also buy other items like dried coconut candies, banana-leaf covered rice triangle things, and other snacky items.
Service-wise, eh, it's just a sandwich shop. They also have pho and other offerings which I didn't try. OH! And they have some of those awesome dessert drinks ($1.50?). The ones with the squiggly fishing lures-looking things with coconut milk....
Read moreI love coming here for sandwiches to grab for picnics. I call ahead to order on the phone and then just come in for a quick pick up. Orders are usually finished within 10 minutes by the time I drive there, they're done and ready!
The plaza is pretty busy, but it's convenient since there's a grocery market and a bunch of restaurants and boba shops if you want to pick anything else up.
There's not much in terms of service, but the prices are really inexpensive so you shouldn't expect to be treated like a 5-star hotel, haha.
PS. if you like spicy, you can ask for extra peppers, they jalapenos have a good...
