Wyndham Garden Newark/Fremont Silicon Valley — Hotel in Newark

I stayed here 07/31-8/10/2025. I do Costco Roadshows and our company books our rooms for us. This hotel is on the rise. It has a good manager. I just talked to him about my stay, letting him know what I liked and a couple things I disliked. I liked my room, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the Continental breakfast every morning. I had a great show here at the Newark Costco, breaking their record so I’ll be back for sure. I’ll definitely stay here again. The two issues I didn’t care for was, I was rarely greeted coming in or wished, “Have a great Day” leaving each morning. Most hotel front desk staff do that. I stay in two hotels for ten to eleven days monthly so I’m in hotels 20-22 days a month. I wouldn’t refer to myself as a professional traveler because I’ve only traveled like this for work 2008-2015, and now 09/2024 - Now. If you’re here and you have a concern, definitely reach out to the Mgr., he’s great. His name is Salvador Alsace. He made no excuses for his front desk staff personnel but explained that the main one I passed by was let go this past Thursday. He did the right thing. If you know someone looking for work who pays attention on the job and doesn’t treat the job site like their own living room, have them apply here. This was the worst hotels stay I have ever had.Night one the hotell decided to rent out the hall and leave 0 parking for actual guests.We drove around for 20 minutes looking for parking and couldn't find any.After that we went to the front desk and told them about the situation and they told us to park illegally in their lot and they would call us when the people left .2hrs later no call lot still packed and my 8 year old son still up and exhausted .I went back down and spent another 10 min looking for a spot at now 11pm.Morning 1 Beds were worn out and I woke up with back pain .Breakfast was horrible the eggs were half cooked dehydrated egg substitute want to be jimmy dean microwave patties .The waffles were made of cardboard and the juice was watered down to like 5% juice just straight up disgusting.Night 2 Beds made dirty sheets.We got back to the hotel at about 9pm the beds were made but covered in hair with pubs on the pillowcases and all over the place like someone screwed in our beds while we were gone so I had to go down stars and get fresh sheets and change them myself before putting my son to bed.while changing the sheets I saw just how nasty the mattress was picture attached huge blood stain at the head of the bed.Morning 2 Went to Denny's because the hotell food is nasty.Don't stay here literary anywhere...

First time staying here and I’ll be back.

Pros: it’s in a nice area that has alot of places to eat can get to the freeway quickly ass well. The bed is comfortable, shower is great , room was very clean (we had a ski light that had a lot of spider webs) other then that room was clean no smell (the window in the room did not open so we couldn’t get fresh air ) but the room was very comfortable clean and decent. I like that you can check in from your phone the night before and you can also check our from your phone makes things faster and easier you just grab the key at entry and go on about your day . The room we booked in the confirmation email said it came w a mini fridge but it didn’t when I canned FD the lady explained but also upgraded us with no charge . That was really nice of her I still think it should be advertised that the only rooms that come with the fridge is the sweets . But hey problem solved .

Cons: the wifi isn’t the best it kept loosing signal that was frustrating considering we were using our RoKO so we can enjoy some movies while we relax . Who ever was running the front desk at night wasn’t as friendly & even the lady at check in at first gave attitude a little (she changed her tone once I complemented her nails) but what ever I’ll give the...
