It is a super chill spot on Saturday Afternoons. People. Kids. Dogs. There's is space for everyone to set up for a picnic on a blanket. My kids are grown but I do have a pup. I just like to set up away from the playground and there is tons of room for us to play ball and be away from the playground and the families doing their things. It is nice that the dog people can space out and still do pur things. My favorite part is that so far the people that do not have control of their dogs seem to keep them on leash and do not intermingle with those of us playing ball with highly trained dogs. Everyone has poop bags and cleans up after their dogs. Everyone is super respectful of their surroundings. I know that their is a few homeless because there are a couple of well kept stuff but even they are respectful of the spot and mostly are not seen or blend in during a busy day...

I'm my opinion, this is the best place in the area to rent a kayak. You can purchase a pass for 5 or 10 ninety-minute rentals which will save your time and money. The employees help with life jackets paddles and even help you get launched. They also rent sups and sailboats, too

Since this is a city park, you'll find restrooms, a playground and, of course, the beach. There is a designated swim area. However, people in kayaks, and sups often enter the swim area.
