OEB has a lot of potential but is not there yet.
We went as a party of 3 during prime time on a Sunday. Joined the Yelp wait list and it moved quickly for a total of about 30 minutes waiting.
However once we were seated the restaurant completely forgot about us. It took 25 minutes for a waitress to serve us water after the hostess Sat us. It took another 15 minutes for our drink order (iced coffee and Apple juice) to arrive.
And the it took 20 minutes for our food to come. Thst is over an hour of time seated before eating after a half hour of waiting.
However we were definitely an exception. Several tables were seated after us, ordered food, ate and left before we even got our food.
Overall the food has potential. The Nutella French toast is bodacious with a healthy amount of marshmallow topping. Unfortunately it is heavily seasoned with cinammon which overshadows the hazelnut Nutella flavor.
The Pork and Seafood bowl is a challenging combination. The scallops were merely okay lacking in much seasoning or sauce. The chunks of cures bacon are great but the food was somewhat cold when it was finally served.
The crab Benedict was also disappointing. The crab was relatively unseasoned and didn't stand out between the excellent croissant muffin base and the hollandaise sauce.
The duck far herb potatoes are the standout item. Crispy delicious and we'll seasoned.
We also ordered the pierogies and bangers. The pierogies were delicious with a strong peppery flavor and great texture. The Chicken sausages were...

Chilaquiles were ordered twice, with substitutions, waffles for the birthday girl and the farmer Johnâs special for me.
Order a Diet Coke and they handed me a bottle of DC with a glass of ice. Bummer. I love fountain drinks.
The chilaquiles had a hint of cinnamon in the sauce. Not a fan of adding cinnamon and it took away some of the flavor. HUGE skillet full. Itâs a ton of food. Tables are too small for such big plates!
The Farmer Johnâs plate was good but lacked flavor. Needed salt & pepper but we didnât ask for any.
Waffles were good when whipped cream and a side of berries were added.
The server was great but we had to keep asking for ice tea refills. It was fresher brewed tea so it was hot so we needed to keep asking for ice. One of the servers made a crazy eyed face at us!
The butter for my toast was served as a small ball in a large metal cup. The ketchup was half full in a small metal cup. Perhaps they should switch the small & large cups and maybe fill them up a little more? Maybe they are conserving since people are wasteful.
All in all it was...
Read moreLynette and the other hostess' were so attentive and caring. Really haven't experienced customer service like that in ages, so 10 stars to them. I sat at the bar and I can't say the same about the lady behind the bar. Didn't like her energy for some reason, but I'm glad Lynette was there to lighten the mood.
Food was mediocre at best. It says premium juice on the menu but turned out to be a plastic jug restaurant depot OJ they sell for $5.50 per glass. Didnt end up getting the smoothie as the strawberry they use is from a carton (mind you the smoothie is $8). Ordered the dish called 'Threesome' $18.50 and I asked if they can upgrade the French Toast to the Banana Cream FT with an extra charge, but the guy behind the bar (I think the owner) told me it would be expensive to charge me that way and he ended up bringing me a side of potatoes with 2 eggs and a full order of the Banana Cream FT. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Potatoes were average. No toast served with my over medium eggs. Wayyy too much whipped cream on the FT. My bill ended up being $35. I don't mind paying for good food but if it wasn't for Lynette's customer service it would've been a major...
