🌊Lovely Ocean View🌊 While I didn't walk the trail itself, I did walk from Breakers Manor to the Forty Steps view (maybe 10-15 minutes from there, walking briskly). If you want to glimpse a full panoramic view of the Atlantic, Forty Steps does nicely. You can get down closer to the seawater and enjoy the scent, breeze, and spray. Sneakers are recommended, and visiting during early morning helps you get the best view and the stairs all to yourself (if you want to snap a few family photos). The viewpoint is rather small and can congest. Each step is inscribed with a name. There are also bathrooms for convenience nearby. I've uploaded some photos of the view from the base of the Forty Steps, but nothing compares to seeing it in person. If you're visiting the Breakers Manor, it's worth a stop.

Cool place to visit in Newport as he takes you right down to the waterfront at the cliff walk. The stairs are very easy to climb up and down and allow access to the rocks where you can walk around on the rock ledge and bring a bottle of your favorite alcohol. Cool place to watch the sunset and also nice place to go during a nice sunny day. Also very close to all her mansions on Bellevue Avenue.

Although it is quite crowded with tourists, there are plenty of spots to take in the great views at up and down the steps and out on the rocks (if you’re up to brave the elements). The parking here is metered with a pay station that charges reasonable rates. There seems to be enough coming and going for spots to be open at just about any time.

Can get very cold with the sea breeze. Salute the regular joggers who jog this route. This is a long route, only sceneries are the waves and rough tides, I do not recommend walking from one end to another, unless you would like to catch a cold. Instead, drive to certain points that are accessible with a car.

This hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. Between the beauty from the overlook and just getting to see all that nature so up close-it's something everything can enjoy, even if you don't do the steps. We went April time so it wasn't as busy but this place does get busy as it gets warmer!

We started our cliff walk from here! Begin walking from here and you will experience the awesome view of the cliff and the waves clashing against the rocks in the left. On the right, one can see some magnificent mansions. The entire walk will never bore you a second !
