Our guide, Paulette, talked more about the paintings and artwork that literally crammed every wall in room, than she was in talking about the house or most recent owner. We heard all about the ancestors that graced the walls. It was so confusing that by the end of the tour I couldn't remember a thing, nor did I care. The rooms were overstuffed with furniture and looked like a yard sale, or hoarders dream. You really couldn't appreciate the rooms glory. It was overwhelming and more of an art history/artist tour than anything. She kept asking our group if we heard of such n such artist, and then proceeded to tell us the story of the artist on most every picture!
