I am not one to leave a negative review unless I feel like people need to be aware. And in this instance, I hope my review helps someone else. Let me start by saying- there is a huge language barrier. My fiance booked the reservation and we were coming from NYC. We ran into traffic and were running a little behind. We decided to give them a headsup. As soon as the phone connected there was no hi spa haven, nothing. A lady answered and says you have appointment at this time and we said yes we are running a few minutes late. She says ok and hangs up. We were late by 10 mins. We walk in and we are trying to communicate we have an appointment but all we are asked is full body right? And rushed upstairs. No where did they ask for our information and we assumed they knew it was us since we called and said what time we will be there. The massage is done and we go to check out. Immediately one of the employees calls someone else on their phone and hands us the phone. We are informed we need to pay extra $40 since they were ānot informedā it was a Groupon. My fiance had informed them while booking that we are using a Groupon. Fine itās Valentineās Day we have plans so letās move on. My fiance had cash for the tip and we decided we will just use that to cover the $40 because thatās $40 we hadnāt planned to spend on top of the tip. The guy then stops us from leaving telling us we cannot leave without tipping. Itās those shop policy. To charge us $40 on top of the Groupon when they rushed us without giving us a chance to ask them or give them our info and to force us to tip is absolutely insane. Never have I ever gone to a spa to not be greeted and confirm what services we were being provided. It definitely felt like a scam. Never visiting again and would not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWeirdest most aggressive massage I have ever had. I get semi regular massages and received this one as a gift. I arrived for my appointment and was brought back to a room with little interaction. I got ready and assumed face down since the head booster was in. The holster had a mental bar across the bottom with very little padding around the rest of it. The metal bar dug into my chin for the entire time I was face down. The ankle booster was also the knee booster and provided no more lift than a pillow would. Certainly not enough to alleviate strain on critical parts of the body. The masseuse used very aggressive techniques I have never had (not in deep tissue, trigger point, needling ,etc). She pounded my body a lot. Massaged in obscure and random patterns and never established a flow. Each time her hands fully removed from my body, she would slap them down in a new location. After she would massage an area she would leave the room and the door open and go get a hot wet towel to aggressively scrub the oil off my body (I've only seen that done at speedy pedicure places, the oil is half the benefit for winter dry skin). She also close fisted pounded on parts of my back, arms, and legs. I could get over the weirdness of it all if I found it helpful. When she ended, it was painful to fully stand up. My lower back hurt a lot from both the massage and poor bolstering. I reread their advertisement and menu again to see if they give a description of the service I received and I did not see if anywhere in their info. This is certainly not a traditional massage place and what I receive was not therapeutic or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I were in the area for an anniversary weekend getaway. I booked couples massages here since majority of the ratings were good and they did couples massages. It must be a lot of fake accounts from the owner leaving good reviews because that was god awful. No one knew what they were doing. Thereās no paperwork like you normally fill out here. They run you upstairs awkwardly as fast as possible. The first 20 minutes was over a rough towel. 90% was just focused on your back. They were extremely rough. My wifeās back is incredibly bruised and ruined her whole next day, and probably the next few. My female masseuse was punching my hands and feet. My wife didnāt even get flipped over to do the other side. My last 10 minutes i couldnāt stop laughing at what a joke this was, I had to bite my towel to hold it in. They talk in Chinese to each other the whole time, they answer phones, they leave the room, they leave the door open. Theyāre not in sync or doing the same routine, they were doing whatever they felt like. The obnoxious alarm goes off and they say ok times up and leave. No professionalism. Unbelievable this is still operational. I paid and still dipped because im not an ass, they need training. This isnāt a job for kids like scooping ice cream or something. This is for trained professionals.
To the owner, donāt apologize to me...
