I purchased a bedroom set along with a mattress and delivery. I was told the set I was purchasing was just discontinued and they had plenty of them still new in the box. The next day the truck arrived to deliver but none of the furniture was in boxes. I was told they took everything out of the boxes at the store to save space on the truck. When the nightstand came out of the truck there was a large hole in the back of it. After the delivery driver made some calls I was informed all my furniture was the floor sample and they didn’t have any more nightstands to replace mine. My only options were to return everything to find another matching set or take a store credit and keep the damaged nightstand. I opted for the store credit and they brought everything inside and assembled my bed.
About a year later as I was going to bed one night my bed made a strange sound when I reached over to plug in my phone. In the middle of the night, I was awakened by my bed collapsing on one side. The whole side rail had split. I had thought the bed was solid wood but it was only made of particle board with a wood veneer. The only solid wood was the supports on the side rails that the cross supports under the mattress attached to. When the delivery guys assembled the bed the screws for the cross supports did not go into the side rails on 2 of them on the side that collapsed, they completely missed them. The strange sound was one of the cross supports coming off the rail when I leaned over the edge of the improperly assembled bed which later split from more weight being on the others. Further disassembly revealed 2 of the 3 wood cross supports were shorter than the only one that was properly attached. When I called customer service I was told there was nothing they could do as it had been too long since I bought the bed even though the failure was caused by their improper assembly. Their only suggestion was to go back to the outlet store and go through the area with individual parts of furniture to look for a matching piece to replace it.
I still had the store credit to use so I took measurements of the good side rail and the 1 cross support that was long enough along with a chunk of the sideboard to match the color and went back to the outlet. They had lots of similar colored side rails but none with the same color or hardware. Since they were only $10 or so I opted to just get a pair in a similar color in the correct length with hardware I could just remove and replace with my own. Took the side rails and cross supports up to the front to check out but apparently that was the wrong way to buy things. I was told I needed a salesperson to write up the sale and then I could drive around the back of the store to pick up the parts. I could not just take them out the front door to my car. After the sale was properly written up she looked up my store credit and asked for my ID. I then realized I had put my driver’s license in a backpack a few days before but I still had a wallet full of things with my name on them. None of that was acceptable. I went out to my car and found a paper license (which had my picture on it) from when I had changed my address. The cashier looked at it, saw it was expired, and deemed it to be unacceptable as well. I asked her “how does my face expire?”, but she had no answer. Went back to my car and found an old work ID that didn’t have an expiration date. It was over 10 years old but that was acceptable. Had to go around back and wait for them to get around to bringing the bed parts out. I still have about $45 in credit left but I will not be going...
Read moreIf it was possible to give 0 stars or half of a star I would because they certainly do not deserve even one star! My husband and I purchased a Living Room set about a week ago and it was delivered Friday. . The delivery guys were excellent and during the set up noticed something not quite right with the recliner on this sofa so he fixed it. We did not notice until later that evening that the love seat recliner had the same issue. I called the store on Monday to speak to our salesman Matt Leathers. I was told he was at lunch and would call me back. Of course he never called! I called the next day and spoke to Matt. He said he would have a manager call me back in a day or two. That didn't happen either! I called back today and finally spoke to Lolita, a manager. She started with "the contract states we do not warranty our merchandise and all sales are final..." I told her we didn't want to return the furniture, we just wanted the delivery guy to come back to make the same fix. She said if he fixed it he did it out of a courtesy because they do not warrant their furniture. I told her the recliners work but the issue is something neither we nor Matt Leathers noticed on the showroom floor.(well, maybe he did notice it and said nothing so he could make the sale)... At any rate she said there was nothing they could do. Now I understand why our furniture was delivered with no wrapping or protection at all, because once we signed on the dotted line the liability became ours and they did not think enough of their customers to at-least mitigate any incidences between the showroom floor and our home. I also explained to Lolita that I knew that all sales were final I just did not realize that they did not warranty their merchandise. So this is an eye opener to me and believe me I am a long time Rooms to Go credit-card holder and I will never purchase ANYMORE furniture from any Rooms to Go outlet. I am pretty sure it is a quick and cheap fix since it took the delivery guy 2 minutes and a drill to make. So, it looks like Rooms to Go outlet, has lost a customer over 2 minutes and a drill, especially since my husband and I just got married in April and we have a whole...

While our sales associate, JC, was extremely friendly and helpful the management here is sorely lacking. She was rude and condescending to my girlfriend almost leaving her in tears. They obviously could not care more about customer service. The manager has no right to be in her position. We had such an aweful experience that we would almost rather not even have furniture.
We easily spent five hours picking out and designing our bedroom and our living room racking up about five thousand dollars.(BIG MISTAKE) In person we were told we would have a few days to return the new items that weren't second hand off the floor. But apparently that few days means directly after you pay and not when they choose to deliver it several weeks later. When we finally got our sofa the color looked completely different. In-store the appearance was a Light Beige but when we received it it was more of a light silver lavender. Even our bed set looked completely different. When we went back to see if we could get this straightened out the same day it got delivered they told us all sales at that point where final and nothing could be done, even after admitting that their lighting was the cause of the furniture having a different color look on the store's floor. You would think 7 lights on one bed set would be a bit much. When we asked to turn the lights away (to see the true color) it was too much trouble for them. The management was rude and unaccommodating, offering no help whatsoever. Having bought the items new from the floor I would have expected much differently from roomstogo. At the very least an offer an exchange for different color or something that wasn't so blatantly different.
So word of warning to anyone looking to purchase from here pay attention to their lighting because they will often put seven or eight lights on one item completely changing the look of it and store and then offered no help and rectifying the situation when you're rightfully...
