Absolutely gorgeous new building-- so much outdoor light streaming through floor to ceiling windows it's shocking compared to the previous building. Tons of inviting seating arrangements, computer stations, gorgeous second- and third-story views of Norman, and quality study areas (private rooms and public tables) to choose from. The kids section is massive and more or less takes up the entire first floor, and the Redbud conference room--gosh, I hope the speakers know they'll need to compete with the scenery! There is a quiet area on the third floor with wood paneling and floor-to-ceiling shelves that practically demands quiet as you walk through it. The childrens area of the library is simply fantastic, filled with a wide array of books and computers and activities for every age of kid to enjoy.

This is great library, and it'll soon be moving into a spacious, brand new, state of the art facility not even a block away....
