Winding Creek Local Park — Attraction in North Bethesda

For a little local park, it's quite nice.

There is a good sized parking lot to accommodate people who drive in for activities at the two soccer fields, or the basketball courts, or the tot lot play area.

There are walking trails that attach to longer trails, and small bridges that provide access to the local communities and neighborhoods. Bike access is also permitted on the paved paths.

There are well cared for Port a John's in case you need them

This is a very nice local park hidden in back of a little community that attaches to greater access for many other paths and parks in the area.

The park is accessible by two major through ways in different parts of the neighborhood.

This is a great park for kids 4 and up as the playground is mostly catered to them. There is a much smaller playground for toddlers but it feels more like an after thought since its relegated to a corner. Basketball courts are located next to the playground for the teens and adults. Soccer fields are across from the courts. Everything is flanked by a walking path so you can stroll around the park on your way to lake needwood or to dc if you felt like using this park as a starting point. Only complaint is after heavy rains, the area directly surrounding the playground has a lot of standing Water and doesn't seem to drain properly so don't let your toddlers wander into...
