Peruvian chicken regular here...
Got the half chicken with two sides at 2:50 which is well after lunch time. Most chicken places will have dried out chicken by this time but this one was still surprisingly moist. The skin was very crispy still and had good smoke flavoring. Oddly both the dark and white meat were moist. The brining was there but not too strong/salty. You can see the charcoal/wood burning in the oven. A clear step up from many other local Moco chicken places.
The steak fries were the same as other places. The Cole slaw was a bit runny and didn't stand out good or bad. Average on sides.
The green and yellow sauces were spot on and the green was moderately spicy. I liked that if you eat in, they have a big dispenser of it since I use a lot of the green sauce (unlike that chain off 355/Gaithersburg where Joe's pizza was. That chain is stingy with their sauces)
$1.99 for the Rio grande soda was inline with price expectations.

Read moreThe young man that always takes our order is always great. The young woman that was helping the young man cook on the other hand was terrible. She had an attitude and asked my partner for his order, right when I was about to give her my order she decided to not say anything and walked away. When she came back I assumed she would come to us and ask for the rest of the order, instead she started working on the first item my partner asked for and got mad when I asked if she was going to ask for the rest of the order. Got an attitude and then said something to the young man and left to the back without saying anything to us. The young man gracefully apologized and asked if we were going to need anything else. Not sure why she was upset. I’d really hate to stop going to this restaurant but if the treatment she’s giving customers remains the same I’d rather not...
Read moreChicken was good, but could have used more charcoal flavor like other Peruvian places - was a little bit on the dry side... Mac n' Cheese was not good at all - the mayo taste was very off putting, and extremely oily. The green beans tasted like mayo too with hints of sourness like some of the green beans might have been bad, didn't taste like fresh green beans had been used. The service was good, the place very run down though... could not imagine sitting on those booths with ripped up seats (not ok)... Pupusas were very good though. Place has a lot of potential, but needs to be taken care of just a little bit - I want to keep coming back and want to refer this place to others because business like these should...
