A very interesting introduction to an almost forgotten, and largely misundert battle that precipated a world war that opened the possibility of the American Revolution. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The young man giving the tour was a little nervous and turns out a student. He did a creditable job and even offered some facts I did not know. The museum is looking to expand and could become quite an experience. The museum is located on the area of the battle. Read moreThis place is a gem of a museum. It is small but packed with history. History concerning the Battle of the Monongahela, sometimes referred to as Braddock's Defeat. I think one could make the case for saying that this battle really began the unraveling of the British Empire and certainly pushed the American Colonists further down the road toward revolution. It was a very public illustration for a watching world that the most powerful army on the planet, at the time, could be easily defeated using guerilla tactics. Here is an insight for you.
