Learn moreThis year 2019, I saw the best produce available at the market in years. I was impressed with the variety, amount available and most importantly the quality and freshness. Apples and bell peppers the size of softballs. The sweetest peaches, tastiest apples and juicy watermelon were everywhere. I walked the entire wholesale market enjoying the beautiful rows of apples, tomatoes, peppers, and and a seemingly unending variety of products displayed beautifully. Friendly people selling the products were abundant. Everyone enjoying the day. Children were there with parents helping organize displays and of course getting in some playtime.
If near stop by... Load your car ... Go home, cook and enjoy..

Read moreOnce you get off the highway, follow the green placards. The sign for Farmer's Market comes up quicker than you think and it's a turn off the main road, down below the hill behind the Farmer's Market Restaurant. Lots of great small businesses. The business with the roasted chickpeas and pumpkin seeds won't let you buy anything for less than $10 if you're using a credit card. Most other businesses had no minimum and some were as low as $4. So, just ask before you attempt to buy anything. From food to jams and jellies and amish homemade butter and standard cheeses to custom cutting boards to nuts and flour and herbs and spices to peanuts and beef jerky and lots of fresh produce. There's a Christmas shop and nursery across the road and the entire market is service dog friendly. There's a sandwich shop that's open most days except Monday and Tuesdays. Excellent place to support small family businesses. Open 7 days a week. September is a bit slower than October/November because of the foliage, but still a good time of year to go since the crowds will be...
