Walmart Vision & Glasses — Attraction in North Las Vegas

Apparently the Walmart Vision center and the actual eye doctor here are not affiliated. This information was not shared with me when I inquired about an appointment and to make sure the optometrist would accept my HSA. I was told the eye doctor accepts HSA Pay My Provider payments and so I scheduled an appointment. I showed up on time and was seen quickly. However, Dr. Ha was quite curt with me. He made me feel stupid about my own eyes. He did try to help recommend some options for my allergies though, which was nice of him. Once I went to pay, I asked for the total and entered it into HealthEquity's Pay My Provider portal, where Dr. Ha's office was showing in the provider list. I submitted the payment through my HSA, emailed Dr. Ha a confirmation of the payment, and asked for my receipt. The receptionist looked confused and went to grab Dr. Ha. He came out and basically began accusing me of trying to steal an eye exam. Which is ridiculous. He said he'd never heard of paying through Pay My Provider with HSAs and that I was trying to steal. I began to get frustrated as I've paid with Pay My Provider multiple times. Dr. Ha then said that his office never bills clients, they only accept payment up front. Which doesn't make sense because of vision insurance. I didn't know what to do so I reiterated that the payment had been submitted and I left. I cried for twenty minutes afterward because he made me feel so stupid. I tried asking Walmart for a copy of my prescription so I can still get glasses and contacts and that's when they finally told me that they're not affiliated with the eye doctor. So he is holding my prescription hostage. Anyways, he's gonna feel really dumb as soon as he sees that payment to him. I would never steal and especially not an eye exam. But I'll definitely never be going back to Walmart Vision or Dr....

I asked My-Ling for her honest opinion on frames since I didn't know what was "in style." She gave me her opinion on my old frames and several frames I had picked. I asked her for frames that made my face look "slimming." She let me try on a few frames and let me pick from those. Since I've gotten these new glasses, I have gotten several compliments on how my face looks with the glasses. I highly recommend My-Ling and all the associates at this location. My-Ling...
