It's a fast food chain--so, let's face it, the differences are going to be almost exclusively cosmetic and superficial. Meaning, essentially, if you like one Del Taco then chances are you're going to like the next Del Taco or even a Del Taco 3000 miles away on the opposite side of the country...the food is, purely by design, reliably and precisely the same at every Del Taco (give or take a few items at "participating locations"--franchise owners don't always have to carry every single specialty item as corporate seems to give these fast food chains at least some slack in terms of deciding the regional and cultural preferences of their majority customer base--but very, very little slack--I'd guess that roughly 90-95% of these chains' menus are required to be exactly the same no matter the location or franchise owner). Now, with that rambling introduction out of the way, I must say this Del Taco is literally the definition of average. There is nothing to distinguish it, good or bad. I've been here probably half a dozen times only because a friend of mine loves it (I think the food is hit or miss--some of it is awesome & then sometimes I'll order something that causes me to deeply regret the money spent after tasting it) and the only thing I really remember is that oddly we noticed they had a Sanitation Grade of C! We found out, from the manager herself, that the grade was strictly due to a new health policy requiring this specific type of ice machine to keep all of the veggies and cheese and other toppings as cold as possible and Del Taco corporate was simply taking their time installing the machine because other locations were the priority...which, surprisingly, made it much easier for me to forgive the low Sanitation Grade and continue eating there. Last time I went there about a month ago it was still a C but they were about to install...
Read moreI haven't been here in quite a long time. This Del Taco is conveniently located on Rancho Drive near the North Las Vegas Airport and just past the Texas Station and Fiesta casinos.
It's always directly on my way home when returning from appointments, running errands and engaging in other activities in simply fabulous Las Vegas.
This used to be a fairly regular stop of mine specifically for the occasional taco salad fix in either the beef or chicken versions served in a large crunchy shell.
Service was usually quick and good although I did experience food that was disappointingly cold on at least one occasion.
Such unfortunate incidents are likely a function of which employees happen to be working at the time - the competent or the incompetent.
All things considered, this is a worthwhile stop for fans of Mexican food who may be looking for something slightly different from what is available at the other major competitor in this type of cuisine, Taco Bell.
The current 2 for $4.00 and 2 for $5.00 Mix 2 Menu items are defintely...
Read moreI was very disappointed with our Dell taco visit today. I went to store 1054 in Las Vegas. I ordered a fiesta pack and ask for green burritos with extra green sauce. What I received was red burritos. I had specifically asked for no red sauce. I asked for green sauce extra green sauce and green sauce on the side. The red sauce is inedible. I also ordered two crunchy tacos with no red sauce only green sauce and extra green sauce one I got a little green sauce the other one had no sauce whatsoever. This is very substandard customer service. I highly advise that you go to a different Del taco. This Location has slept greatly in the last little bit. I checked my receipt and everything that I asked for was on there but that’s not what I got. I attempted to call them to see if I can get this straightened out and their phone just goes to a fax so apparently there’s no way to...
