The Learn to Skate classes here are awesome. My kids have taken the snow plow, basic, and Hockey classes. I am currently taking the adult basic one class and have gone to hot chocolate club a few times. The teachers make sure to help each person at their level. They are all kind and understanding. The class also comes with a punch pass to come and practice another day. It has been great to have the adult class, hockey class, and basic figure class at the same time so I get to learn as well as my kids instead of just waiting on the side for them. It has also helped me to better understand their struggles and accomplishments. I would recommend any adult to take the beginner class even if you can barely stand on the ice while clinging to the wall. The teacher will work with you at your own pace. There are people who have never been on the ice before taking the class and their progress is...
Read moreMy son plays for the Jr. Aggie hockey team aka CVAHA (Cache Valley Amateur Hockey Association). We have had a blast. It is definitely his new passion. Phenomenal coaches make hockey practice and games something that your child will look forward to. I have had the opportunity of coaching for my sons Jr.Aggie hockey team. It has been a very rewarding experience. Overall, the facility is great. We can be proud to have away teams come play us and feel comfortable. It is also great for 'free skate' or 'stick N' shoot'! They have a fantastic program for kids to learn how to skate and try out hockey.
Special thanks to CVAHA for welcoming my son and I into their program and going the extra mile to ensure all of the kids are safe and having a blast...
Read moreCompared to the far superior Ice Sheet in Weber, this place is a bit underwhelming. A dollar or two more expensive than Ice Sheet, too. Really dislike that they don't clean the ice midway through longer public nights like the Ice Sheet does, either (and sometimes the ice in is horrible condition with massive gashes all over). Locker rooms smell horrendous on occasion, and there seems to be a ton of leaking from the ceiling all over the arena. Food is basic microwave hot dogs and burgers. Love that USU has its 'own' place to play, but I feel like this place could be a whole lot better with some renovation funding (looking at you, Utah State). Honestly, considering how busy this place gets on occasion, Cache County could use...
