The reason why I gave this place three out of five stars was because my family of five paid so much money for this condo and let's begin on what was wrong. The first thing is the towels that they leave for us and washcloths were so rough that it actually scratched skin off my face a tiny bit. The patio had an excellent View of the water and the yachts, but we had a big ass cobweb that was almost covering a large portion of the balcony. The bed was not comfortable at all I've had better beds without the Springs squeaking at Econo Lodge. The resort was spacious but it could have been a little more cleaner. The room should have been inspected before guests moved in and I'm not pleased about that. Ran out of toilet paper the second night we were there. The washing machine and dryer was way too loud. It was horribly loud. And the TVs were not smart TVs and my child couldn't hook up his Xbox to it. Why do you have these old ass TVs in a supposably beautiful place; and you couldn't enjoy it.I thought I was watching black and white TV from back in the day. I hope the CEO reads this post and get better you need better TVs at this Resort you need to double-check and make sure it's clean before guests move in and you need better mattresses because we could almost feel the springs. And please put some money and effort into getting better washcloths and towels that won't scratch the skin off your body. The scenery was beautiful but not beautiful enough for the amount of money we paid. I am willing to give them another chance to get it right. I will be back next year for my son's baseball tournament. I really hope they can improve.

Stayed and played with a package last week March 20-25th. This review is mainly about golf, the accommodations were great. All four courses were in great shape... absolutely perfect Condition. Pace of play was good while courses were not too busy. Played 36 every day except for rained out Thursday and didn't have problem scheduling a reasonable priced replay round. Guys in pro shop were outstanding and should be commended for their customer service. Starters, Rangers, beverage cart girls, and bag drop staff were all great and deserve recognition as well. Shuttle driver was amazing, as he helped me with an issue with my truck.... above and beyond. My only issue was with the driving range Staff. Two guys in particular acted like the balls were made of Gold. Very rude when I attempted to purchase a second bucket and then proceeded to tell me "range balls not allowed at short game area". I wouldn't have bought a second bucket had I known that. Guy needs a serious attitude adjustment considering he has a coveted retirement job. Five star resort and experience otherwise. Highly recommend.

If I could give zero stars I would.

I brought a group of 15 golfers from Ontario to play the Norman course on April 12. We paid a price of $251/person expecting to receive a premium golf experience. What we got was nothing of the sort - a course in terrible condition and staff behavior that was downright embarrassing.

The course:

Greenside bunkers were left unraked, fairways were full of dead patches and bare spots. A few of the tee decks were overgrown with weeds. Bunker edges that hadn't seen a rake or trimmer in weeks. It honestly felt like a neglected municipal course not a "resort" course charging top dollar.

A then came the hospitality. The cart girl made multiple vulgar inappropriate comments to our group. She even suggested we go to a gentleman's club after the round and the ATM there would show up as a hardware store so our wives wouldn't find out. That's not just unprofessional - it's just straight-up trashy. No one in our group asked for that kind of interaction, and several guys were uncomfortable with the whole situation.

I spoke with the head pro in the pro-shop afterward regarding course conditions. His solution was a 9-hole rain check... for a group set to fly out that evening.

Since the round and hearing the experiences our group had I made multiple attempts to follow up the both the head pro and general manager. Aside from one phone call from the head pro stating they'd "get back to me," we've received zero meaningful follow up, No real apology. No ownership. No accountability.

I'm sure someone from the club will reply to this review with the generic line about how they "care deeply about the customer experience." Let me be crystal clear: that couldn't be further from the truth. If they cared even a little, someone would have followed up days ago.

We played Thistle Golf Club the day before for slightly less money and had an incredible experience - great conditions, professional staff, and the kind of respect paying customers deserve.

This place left us feeling like we got scammed. Run down conditions, inappropriate staff behavior, and leadership that hides when its time to face complaints. Save yourself the frustration and take your money to somewhere that actually earns it.

Edit: I never asked for a full refund. Only time I mentioned “to go public” with a review was after 3 attempts to contact and 3 days after to which I had not received a response. Only then did you care...

I had the displeasure of staying at the Barefoot Resort recently. I've vacationed with them in the previous years and always enjoyed my time there. The holidays were approaching and I wanted to do something outside of the traditional norm for this Christmas 2017, so I booked a condo at The Havens golf villa room 1822. The first few hours were lovely my husband and I cooked with my children laughing in the background. We decided to go to sleep around 11pm because we planned to take the kids out Christmas shopping at the Tanger outlet. That never happened because my children awoke me telling me they saw bed bugs. Horrified! I went into the living area and in the chair was a living bed bug, my daughter yelled for me to come in their bedroom because she saw another bed bug. Mortified! I snapped pictures of those devils and immediately got on the phone calling Beach Vacations. The night manager attempted to soothe me by offering another condominium, but my husband and I were livid, we just wanted our money back. It's now 1 am in the morning and we're driving all the way back home on Christmas eve. Everyone in my family literally stripped outside of our home because I didn't want to run the risk of taking any of those critters inside. I threw away all my luggage because I wasn't able to wash and dry them. I'm having my home checked just for good measure. I had an issue with these critters back in 2009 and spent a fortune getting rid of them. Barefoot landing refunded our money but cost me so much more. They are clearly unaware of the stress and anxiety these critters cause. My heart tells me they were aware of this problem yet they still decided to rent this condo. I hope they use thermo heat to get rid of them, but they have clearly left a bad taste in my mouth. I will never stay in any other condo or hotel chain again in my life. My sanity is more important. Thanks Beach Vacations for the worse Christmas vacation experience ever. It's a shame I had to leave a star because I definitely don't agree with that. I wish I could post all the pictures. The condo could also use a lot of tlc before renting again. Why so light a carpet when you intend to receive lots of traffic?...

If I could give less than 1 star, I would! We have stayed here every year for 5+ year and my husband does men’s gold trips here. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in any establishment and I will NEVER go back.

We drove over 11 hours with children and a sickly adult. We got into town early and went to eat to pass some time. I called and asked if we could check in early, I was told yes. I showed up, they checked me in, took my money, and held my room key and pool card saying check in was at 4 and the room wasn’t ready but they would call when it was. Normal check in is at 4pm…. We got in to our room AFTER 830! We had to sit in parking lot l, in the heat with a sickly woman, for over 5 1/2 hours. I called to complain, the lady on the phone told me “it’s Fourth of July weekend I don’t know what to tell you,”

The “resorts manager” was in the back when someone backed into her car. I was nice enough to let her know. We went running out cursing to take pictures of her car. She then grabbed her things and left. The manager Helen we rude and not very apologetic. She told me she came from upstate NY so she knew what we were going through. She picked up her personal cell phone and acted as if she was calling housekeeping. When we asked her to call agin in an hour she refused and said she can’t. The room isn’t clean and she doesn’t know how long it may be.

While waiting for our room many people came in and out with their keys. A man came in saying his washer stopped working, the air wasn’t working and demanding a refund.

After finally getting to our room, one of the rooms air didn’t work and it was so hot. The other room smelled like mildew. None of the rooms showers worked very well and all had mold around the molding. We didn’t even bother calling because they would have never showed up. We kept calling corporate but we never got a call back and we unable to reach someone who would actually listen.

It’s such a shame because we used to love this place. It has gone way down hill. It must have new owners or the people who own it must not care...
