Putters Pub is our go-to spot at Barefoot Landing, and it never disappoints. We’ve been here more times than my kids have ignored me in public, and the food always slaps.
✅ Pro tips from the Owens crew:
Stuffed peppers = 🔥 (order them, thank me later).
Kids go straight for the pizza, which has so many pepperonis they try to sell the extras back to me like a side hustle.
My wife is loyal to the French dip panini—hard to argue with that choice.
Drink specials keep dad happy. Quiz nights keep my brain from turning into mashed potatoes.
But here’s the kicker: the service. Tonight, the back room—our usual habitat where my kids can act like feral possums—was blocked off for a party. My dad doesn’t do well with loud crowds (PTSD + the lifelong trauma of raising me), so I figured we were out of luck.
Most places would’ve just said, “sorry, good luck.” Not Miranda and her crew. These legends hauled tables outside and set up a private dining spot overlooking the driving range, like we’d somehow scored the VIP package. They didn’t have to do that. They could’ve just tossed us earplugs and a side of ranch. Instead, they went above and beyond—hustling all night, smiling the whole time, and making sure we had what we needed… even while my kids were acting like unsupervised raccoons.
That’s customer service. That’s why we keep coming back. Food’s great, beer’s cold, but it’s the people—Miranda and the team—that make Putters the kind of place you brag about to your friends.
So cheers to you, Putters. You’ve officially earned another round of stuffed peppers, 14 pepperonis from my kids’ pizza, and one emotional dad...
Read moreWe had a lunch Saturday, June 24th, 2017 here for my grandmother's 95th birthday, and a lot of my mom's side of the family were there. The banquet room we had it in was spacious enough for everyone. There was a pool table in it and some people (including one of my brothers) tried their hand at it. The waiters served us some delicious pasta, meatballs, chicken wings, salmon, garden salad with ranch and Italian dressing, and some appetizer veggies with ranch dip. My only negative takeaway from it is that the servers gave us disposable plates and utensils instead of "real" ones, but I can understand that that meant less work for them, in that they didn't have any dishes to wash. They did go around taking orders for alcoholic beverages and also set out pitchers of Coca-Cola and Sprite.
The main area of the building is a sports bar with several flatscreen TVs tuned to various sports-related channels. They serve Miller Lite, Coors Light, Michelob Ultra and some other beer brands, and some margaritas and other cocktails. Food-wise, I saw people not in our party eating burgers, sandwiches and pizza there. It looks like they have some quality brick oven pizzas. There are also a few arcade games, mostly golf, as well as a bowling one.
Putters is a good Barefoot fixture....
Read moreFood was good but service was sub-par to say the least. Seemed like the usuals got the star treatment or the old men who normally tip well got special treatment. Don't live in the area and don't plan on coming back here to eat either!
I had to come back and edit my review. I was looking at other reviews and came to the conclusion that whoever is responding to the reviews has piss poor mannerism as well!! I have never seen an owner publicly blast a customer or potential customer the way you do. Whatever happened to the customer is always right?? I understand there are times the customer may not be right but to speak the way you do, leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I work customer service every day of my life and would never treat anyone this way. No wonder you have staffing issues, if you talk to you customers this way there is no telling how you treat/speak to...
