Became a neighboring community member back in February, and can not be happier with the amenities offered here, as well as the amount of group classes included to members in all the different areas of the facility (they have an indoor pool with locker rooms with showers and restrooms and family restroom, outdoor pool, a field house, and 2 separate ice skating rinks for hockey, figure skating, and just regular ice skating and skate rentals are $2.50 for regular and hockey skates) they also on the outside of the outdoor pool fence have a playground area and behind the facility is also a skate park (I’m not sure if they are affiliated together or not but still, something for almost everyone!!!!
And the cost for my fiancé and myself for an annual neighbor city was very affordable, it was something like $400 for the entire year, and again the amount of all day every day group classes offered in each area of the facility is outstanding!!!! And the staff is beyond so friendly and so...
Read moreExtremely clean! Not too crowded. Lots of choices of equipment. Very affordable for residents of North Olmsted. Excellent programs. My daughter did cheerleading and it was a great experience, especially for the money. They got full uniforms, poms, accessories, and an excellent coach that taught a lot of cheers and a few dances. They got to cheer at home and away games. It was a great experience. My son had a good experience playing basketball as well. I wish they had basketball for high school age students, too. I am also sad that they got rid of gymnastics. We still register, but it is in Berea and not through the rec any more. One more suggestion - early morning muscle conditioning and/or cardio classes and open at 5:00 instead of 5:30. I don’t like getting up that early either, but for those of us who have to be at work early, it would be a godsend! 5:15 AM spin class anyone? C’mon! Oh, and the pools are nice, too. And if indoor pool could open with the gym, that would be...
Read moreThis was public open skate. Literally less than 6 were skating. As a competitive skater, having a rink, all to yourself, is a skaters dream. Ice was surfaced well. For a Recreation Center, I give the ice rink 5 stars. It’s not the ideal surface I’m accustomed to. But, it’s safe. Climate is maintained. You won’t see ice melting; unlike another arena. Two huge factors that can literally break. What’s great about the Rec Center- affordable membership; which includes open skating. Huge huge savings! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Immaculate! Plenty of parking. I’ve not even utilized the gym. North Olmsted residents receive a discounted membership. A lot going on. Also, Silver Sneaker eligible under qualifying...
