Took my wife to The Olive Garden in North Olmsted, Ohio. Our first time back to this place since my wife and I had our first date here on June 24, 1998; we even sat at the same table we had from way back in the day. Not for lack of quality food or great service, but just simply, life happens. We opened businesses in Florida and moved to Tampa in July 2000. We've been to PLENTY of Olive Garden locations, and it's always a great experience. They have a simple, decades long formula, in that, any Olive Garden you step in, from state to state or city to city, you'll receive the same fantastic food and outstanding service.
This night was no different. Wonderful Service and fantastic food. I do admit however, it had been about 3 yrs since our last visit. They've added a few new menu items and up to 3 free wine tastings (hiccup-burb). Oh, and an awesome little Tablet that the kids, or you, can play games on while you wait for your order (*Some of the tablets games may charge you a fee, so just keep an eye on the kiddos). You can also order anything off the menu. This is nice because you may have forgot to tell the waitress something you wanted to order and it goes straight to the kitchen. As an added plus you can use it to run your credit card and pay for your meal all from the table. It's just a nice nod to todays technology and it proves they are willing to change with the times.
With the wine taken care of, we moved on to an app of delicious Fried Ravioli. Next the always hot and tasty Bread Sticks and the perfectly dressed Salad and OMG, they were phenomenal! It's always hard to keep from eating all of this before our entrees arrive. We both had their famous Chicken Scampi and as usual it was sweet ass awesomeness!
So in short, Olive Garden has stood the test of time, and for all the right reasons! They're a company that cares for there clients as much as their service...
Read moreI have been going to this location for over twenty years. After my two most recent experiences, I think we are done visiting and ordering takeout here. When I dined in last week, many of the plates that arrived at the table for the salad and breadsticks were dirty. They had dried food and various debris on them. The waitress assured me that she would bring me a new plate which I was very appreciative of. However, the new plate was also dirty. I gave up trying to get a clean plate for my salad after that. I also noticed that the light that hung right about our table was VERY dusty with cobwebs hanging off of it. That's a little gross when it's dangling over our dinner. It was hard to enjoy my meal when I was worried about that stuff dropping down into our food. Today my partner wanted their minestrone soup so I decided to give them one more chance and order takeout. Our order wasn't ready until over twenty minutes after they said it would be ready. We only ordered soup, salad, fettucine alfredo and breadsticks. I'm not sure why it would take so long. I waited in my car for nearly half an hour after the order would supposedly be ready. The server who brought our order to the car was very nice but that didn't make up for such a long wait. Our minestrone soup is the only thing we are happy with. Our breadsticks had no garlic seasoning on them, our salads were very small and something was terribly wrong with the fettucine alfredo sauce. When we reheated it, the sauce separated and turned into a buttery nightmare. That's never happened to me before. Overall, very poor experiences. I used to love this restaurant but it's time to find somewhere else to take my family. I refuse to spend so much money for such poor food and a lack of cleanliness. Their parking lot is also a jacked up mess. Please be careful pulling into their lot if you have a car that is closer...
Read moreWell, to say we had a weird experience tonight would be an understatement . We arrived with a reservation for a 30th birthday dinner with a party of 10. The evening was totally fine and we were all enjoying ourselves. Nothing crazy or weird happened, no food sent back, no issues at all on our end. When it came time for the bill to be delivered, our server approached us and told us he needed to step outside for fresh air and that he was considering walking out and quitting because we were the worst table he’s ever had. As a previous server myself I could 💯 understand having a difficult table or one that was consistently causing issues or disturbances, but I am not kidding when I say that our entire party was polite, had no special requests, no issues. We’re all in the service industry ourselves. In fact, it was the party guests first time ever at an Olive Garden (as crazy as that sounds) so we were all trying to show him a fun time. I really could not believe that we were told we were the worst table ever who made someone want to quit their job. Why would you ever tell your table that, even if there was a circumstance where that was true, tell a fellow server or your manager to step in. Eventually we did ask for another person to handle our check out after that statement was made and she was appalled that our server said that to us. Not sure if he actually did quit tonight, but I hope for his sake he gets out of the service industry. We didn’t want nor expect a discount or anything, we were more just dumb founded at the situation. I’ve been to this location so many times, but I can honestly say I’m not likely to...
