Last week several of our family members were in northern Ohio for a mini family reunion and had a night free to be together. We decided to sign up for a painting class at Bottle and Bottega. There were 5 from our family and we joined 5 other people that we didn't know for the class.
We had our choice of two different art pieces to create, but everyone in our group of 5 chose the same painting. Great minds think alike. :-) When we arrived, the owner, Vicki, showed us around and explained how the class would work. We met our instructor, Erica, then put on our painting aprons and found a place at the tables. We were able to bring our own drinks and snacks, so we got those all set too.
While we were waiting for everyone to get there, I wandered around a bit and took pictures of the colorful studio. It was such an inspiring setting. Perfect for an art class.
The class went from about 6:30 to 9:00 pm and that was plenty of time to do the entire painting. Erica was a great teacher and helped us when we ran into problems or had to "fix" something we didn't like. It was fun to be able to choose different colors than the original painting or even to do something completely different, if we wanted to. Some in our group had never painted before, but they were still able to create a wonderful piece of art.
We all had so much fun! I would definitely go back, when I'm in the area again. Thanks ladies for a...
Read moreive done these paint classes many times before & it was always pleasant. my only pet peeve with this last time i went is that the instructor didnt really teach us how to “paint” at all it just seemed like something i could of easily done at home. its nothing major and im not being rude or trying to be a “karen” its just a little disappointing when you pay for the experience & lesson and you don’t really get “taught” anything my painting came out no where near what the original looked like and neither did the instructor’s i was kind of like whaaaat? i get not everyone is there to be an amazing artist but the point is to maybe actually learn something and have a cute painting to take home. every other time ive went the instructor helped us out with techniques & stuff. thats my only slight disappointment. like i said before, at that point i could of just stayed home and tried to paint it myself bc the whole session i was basically having to teach myself anyways. this place isnt bad though by any means and id like to come back again...
Read moreTh owner of this place is beyond unprofessional and I have told many friends to do a wine and paint anywhere else but here.
I paid for a class with a few friends for Sunday 3:30-5:30. We showed up at 3 per the instructions that were sent when we had to prepay in full. When we arrived, the studio was closed. We were not even informed that our class was cancelled, the owner made another instructor tell us because the owner was “awol” that night. All three of us left messages requesting a full refund. As far as I know, none of us have been given a refund for the class that we were not able to take. Only one friend of mine got a response- the owner of this establishment took the mature route of blaming the instructors and took no accountability for this current situation and took no steps to make this right.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The only impression I’ve been given is that this place is a well run scam. RUN. Book your wine and paint literally anywhere else unless you feel like donating $40 for...
