In my opinion this is one of the worst chain breakfast places in North Olmsted. I used to go to Bob Evans often as a child and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In more recent years I started to notice that the portion sizes started shrinking and prices seemed to just be going up. My brother and I stopped going here altogether after our most recent experience several weeks ago. We went up to Bob Evans for a late brunch after an appointment and our excitement quickly turned to disappointment. The first problem arose when my brother requested a different glass to drink from after the waitress set the cup down with her hand nearly covering the top of his cup. It may seem trivial but my brother has Asperger's Syndrome and one of his social anxieties manifests themselves as slight OCD. He would have never drank from it. Be it annoying I wish our waitress was a little more understanding. She argued with him for a bit (in front of several other customers) before rudely grabbing the glass from his hands and huffing/puffing the whole 12 feet to the fountain drink area. This almost instantly put my brother in a less than happy mood. The waitress was rude to us for the rest of our stay and we ended up asking for the check early and leaving most of our food untouched. My silverware did not seem clean and it smelled a little funny. My breakfast plate had old hardened egg yolk on it that was definitely not from my food as it did not include eggs. I was grossed out and disappointed with her treatment of my brother. He wasn't being mean or trying to be a difficult customer. He is a good tipper at restaurants so this waitress definitely missed out. I do hope she is kinder to her customers in the future because not all "difficult" customers are trying to bother them and not all disabilities are visible or obvious upon talking to someone. We will not be returning to this location in the future and most likely will be hesitant to give any Bob Evans location...
Read moreWhen I first went to Bob Evans everything was great. But I always have a problem when young kids see me. I go in, and I always see the same female lately and she looks irritated when I come in and she irritates me. All I do is come in and pick up my little small order of Pancakes. The kids always look at me like they're mezmorized or something, but I don't do drama, and I don't do haters. The last time one of my pancakes was burned a little bit on the bottom so I'm probably going to chill on going to Bob Evans because people can be subjective to other people and that always irritates me.
I have a profile and a name, so they may know who I am from that. I was a repeat customer, I would think that people would value that. Instead of handing me my bag she just puts the butter in the bag and just sit on the counter and walks away.
Then I look up and this guy who greeted me come and get his just staring at me then another girl walks up as if he told her to come look at me. I am an artist. How I choose to look is nobody else's business. Now mind you, I'm not going up there looking crazy at all I'm just saying, I might have glitter on my face, or blue lipstick, because I'm always on the go. But I'm probably going to take a step back from Bob Evans because that girl definitely has irritated me every time I have went and I don't like that.
Other than these little kids and their little jealousy or attitude whatever it may be, before that I absolutely love Bob Evans I still do but I'm going to pick and choose when I go. So since she's on the early shift I'll probably have to go on a later shift. I'm strictly being honest you guys know how I am, any other day Bob Evans is phenomenal but when I get terrible customer service it's like it makes the food taste terrible to...
Read moreThis is the second time we did not receive the service we expected. It was about 7 pm on 9-28-2016, the left section of the restaurant was closed, only a few tables occupied in the right section, mostly near the door to the bathrooms. Most tables around us had not been cleaned up, and haven't been cleaned when we left about an hour later. Have to say the place was not busy at all, several waitresses and waiters were standing around chit chatting with each other. Our waitress vacuumed the floor in the closed section in between, hardly ever showed up at our table for refills etc. We ordered the $6.99 turkey dinner and a salad. We asked for extra salad dressing, which came with the main meal. By the time we had finished the salad the main course was cold. My husband had to ask for his meal to be reheated. The dressing was undercooked, dressing swimming in liquid, the onions raw, turkey and mashed potatoes good. When nobody showed up for a refill for our beverages, I took my glass upfront to ask for a refill. The manager and assistant managers were around, but never apologized. Our waitress seemed aggravated when we asked for extra butter and honey for our rolls. Dear waitress: If you don't like your job, get a job somewhere else. And for the managers: Cleaning tables after customers leave is something that needs to be done. I don't like looking at that mess while I am eating. One waiter pointed out that those tables weren't his tables. Ok, I get that, you don't want to do somebody else's work, but what...
