Wearluv Consignment — Attraction in North Palm Beach

This morning, I went to Wearluv Consignment on 801 North Lake Blvd in North Palm Beach, 33408 and encountered the owner. The door was locked even though it was during business hours, but the owner — I believe her name is Maria — unlocked it and let me in. I was carrying several items to consign, as her daughter, Jasmine had advised me last week to bring them in Monday through Thursday during regular hours. When I explained why I was there, she abruptly responded, “We’re not taking any consignments,” in a harsh, dismissive tone. I calmly replied that I would no longer be coming there, which is entirely my prerogative. Last year, I brought in a large amount of costume jewelry that she made a significant profit from. Even then, items that didn’t sell were not returned, but I let it go. Still, I expected basic respect today. Instead, after my polite comment, she called me an “idiot” and began screaming — loudly — that she had just been robbed of $20,000 worth of high-end merchandise. While I understand she was upset, her behavior toward me was shocking and completely unprovoked. I never saw it coming. To make matters worse, she had locked the door behind me again. When I tried to leave, she unlocked it and pushed it open with attitude, holding out her hand in a gesture that made it clear she was throwing me out of the store. I have no idea what I did to deserve that treatment. What I do know is that I will never return, and no one should have to be treated that way.
