I dined at Ceviche Arigato while on a business trip to West Palm Beach, FL. This Peruvian restaurant was a great treat and worth the drive from my hotel over. The authentic experience begins immediately after being seated when the waiter brings quicos (corn nuts) to the table. These crackling, salted treats are addictive. You may want to ask them to bring two.
My waiter was polite and spoke English very well. I ordered two entrees. The first was a chicken soup with a cilantro-based broth. If cilantro is something you enjoy, this soup is a great choice. The flavor was not overwhelming to me (though definitely not to be taken lightly) despite the solid green color of the soup. The large chunks of chicken made it filling, but the broth alone was flavorful enough to keep spooning long after the chicken was gone.
The second dish I received was the tallarines verdes con churrasco, which is a fettuccine pasta served in a creamy pesto sauce with churrasco steak. The one star removal actually comes from the fact that the waiter forgot about the 2nd entree. I understand it is unconventional for people to order two entrees, but if it is written down at the time of my order being taken, it is hard to justify the delay.
The steak in the second entree was decent, but a little overcooked (I ordered medium rare). The pasta bed upon which it rested was al dente, but the sauce was not to my liking. I would have preferred the skirt steak to be served alongside rice and black beans.
Overall, the restaurant is worth the trip. There are so many interesting items on the menu, you will be struggling to...
Read moreLocated next to a pizza and wings buffet that features moonlight mini golf, walking in you’re immediately taken back by a tastefully decorated interior and white linen. The decor is sharp and tasteful, an oasis of class that would be just as at home in downtown Miami or Tampa.
The service is as good as the decor and once we told the waiter it was our first time, he went into painstaking detail about which dishes we might want to try.
My wife had the Tallarines Verdes con Churrasco, skirt steak over pasta with a creamy pesto. She was delighted, as was I with Arrizotado de Mariscos, seafood risotto. You can get spicy if you wish, but too much would drowned out the complex flavors. Save room for dessert, the creme brulee honors its legendary reputation with a complex flavor and perfectly tinted crust and the flan is like liquid caramel, one of the best I’ve ever had.
It’s not very often I’m surprised and rarer still that it’s a pleasant surprise but Ceviche Arigato is perfect for date night or entertaining guests. It’s a $$ price tag with five star service,...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The customer service was beyond terrible, and the bartender was shockingly rude from the moment I questioned my drink. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she called over multiple people like it was a show the second I expressed an issue completely uncalled for and humiliating.
She was combative, disrespectful, and continued to argue with me even after I asked to speak with a manager. Rather than de-escalate, she doubled down, going back and forth over a drink that I didn’t even touch. The cup was still full and sitting in front of her, yet she insisted I had “drunk the drink.” The entitlement and attitude were unreal.
This wasn’t just bad service it was disrespect on a whole different level. If you’re thinking about coming here, don’t waste your time or money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
this was my first...
