First Choice Market — Attraction in North Township

This is the largest, most fully stocked, organized, cleanest, most friendly family owned grocery store/butcher in NWI. Their meat is excellent quality. They have a multitude of butchers working the meat counter, so no matter what the time or occasion, you never have to wait long ro be serviced. In the back to the left, you can see workers cleaning and packaging fruit and vegetables. Speaking of fruit, the fruit is the sweetest, like you'll notice the difference immediately. They have everything you're familiar with, along with exotic fruit and veggies, which I appreciate. The store is stocked with more than you'd find at a big box store, from pots and pans, Charcoal, cleaning products, toiletries and authentic Mexican cooking tools. They are on another level of quality, availability and customer service. Everyone is always so friendly, yet always professional. Ive been purchasing meat from this store for 3 years. I’ve never had a problem until today. They sold me some really spoiled meat. It was so bad my entire kitchen smelled. It was the corn beef. Ok, I understand that it may not be their fault. They could’ve gotten it from a bad vendor. My complaint isn’t to much about that. I brought the meat back and I was refunded ($104.00). That’s fine! I don’t like the how I was treated while getting my refund. Just silent. No sorry about that or anything. When the manager gave me my receipt for the refund I said thank you. She didn’t say anything back. That is poor customer service. She couldn’t at least said “you’re welcome” or “my apologies “ etc. Just silence I’ve spent a lot of money there. I’ve been going to this store for years and I’ve always gotten great service. Today was different and I was unhappy. I needed some meat from the counter. I asked the guy for 4lbs of chicken wings and I couldn’t decide if I wanted ground round or ground chuck. So he said HELLO? What do you want? I didn’t respond because I knew he wasn’t talking to me. He repeated it louder HELLO? What do YOU want? I said one second I’m trying to decide. Once I decided he found other things to do so he didn’t wait on me. So I gave the wings back and went to another store. If that’s how the employees talk to customers I’ll never ever come back there. I might be one out of a million that patronize this establishment but I won’t be back....
