Olympia Lanes — Attraction in North Township

Fantastic bowling alley. I took my son with the intent to have him try out bowling and buy his 1st ball/bag if he liked it.

We were there during a league. There were lanes available for open bowl. The alley was alive with activity. The cafe area was clean and the staff inside was friendly. Prices are what you expect from a cafe inside a bowling alley.

The bowling alley itself was clean (including the restroom) and the staff was helpful and pleasant. They have automatic bumpers that come up only for the bowlers that you set them to come up for and go down when the next bowler is up, making it nice for bowlers who don't need (or want) the bumpers to bowl with younger ones that need them.

They have a small arcade area that we didn't go into. I glanced in on my way past the room. It was small but have an assortment of games to play. They also, of course, have a crane game. There was also a small vending area with your typical snack fare and a couple of soda machines.

The pro shop: They were super friendly. They got my 10 year old, who is strange about people he doesn't know touching him, set up with a bowling ball with ease. The gentleman there was friendly and knowledgeable.

My family has been ordering food from Olympia for years with no problems. Their pizza has always been excellent...until today. My husband ordered a 16" pizza & a chili cheese dog. Came home to there being no chili or cheese on my dog. So my husband took it back up there which they fixed. Then we open up the pizza to find the pizza crust was very gummy like it had been undercooked. My husband called to speak to someone in the kitchen about this & the woman in the kitchen hung up on him. He then called to speak to the manager, Nick, who said they would make us a new pizza. My husband drove back down to pick it up for this one to be burnt. My husband called to speak to, Nick, but he wasn't available. So he spoke to someone else in charge. This guy said he'd get us a new pizza & would call us when it was ready. 40 minutes passed & no phone call. So my husband called to say he wanted his money back. So after 2 hours & 5 trips later we got our money back & no dinner. Mistakes happen, especially if you get busy, but when you call to let them know about a pizza being undercooked & they hang up on you is plain ignorant! Then to give us a burnt pizza, which was no accident, was just unacceptable! Never ordering...

One of the best bowling alleys that I have ever been. Prices during the week are very reasonable and comparable to the other bowling alleys anywhere close. The lanes are extremely well maintained. The equipment is all recently updated (I bowl on a league here). New scoring tablets, monitors, and ball returns.

There is a Pro-shop on the premises that is excellent. This shop has a wide selection of equipment for sale. They will also service the equipment that you have. Many times they can take care of your needs quickly while you wait.

There is also a café on premises that has the usual fare; Hotdogs, polish sausage, chips, pizza, etc. They also have beer and fountain drinks available.

Monday mornings there are no lanes available as they are all taken up with leagues. The only reason I don't give this a 5 star review is that the approaches, tables at the lanes, and carpet is sometimes not the cleanest, in need of...
