This shop is off-the-charts awesome! The $1 bin comics are a steal, and the toy selection is epic! Not to mention the video games - it's like a mini arcade in here! The staff is super friendly, and they have a restroom, which is a major plus if you're toting kiddos around. Definitely worth spending the whole day here!

Amazingly organized comic back issues. They have a solid wall of key comics mostly in marvel. There is also a special long box of “the good stuff” tucked in across from the counter checkout. Gaming area is huuuuuge! Picked up a short box to transport for travels….only $6!!!!!!

Actually found online that Screaming Monkey had a rare game book I was looking for. I took a chance and the book was in perfect condition! Buy with confidence even if you're out of state.

It can be a pretty solid place as your lgs, with some caveats that can be gleaned from an experience there today:

Walked in and looked to see if they had any dual lands or shock lands which is where the first free piece of sales advice can be applied:

  1. Know your product and clientele. Dual lands are several hundreds of dollars and shock lands can be 15 - 30 dollars a piece, so you should remember the clientele that come to purchase things like that have a fair amount to spend (I have been there now five times and the owner still apparently doesn't remember my face). This is despite having been introduced to him on at least one occasion and having participated in one of his MTG competitions. I also have spent several hundred dollars here in the past few months. It might be advantageous to digitally catalogue your inventory, which can be subcontracted nowadays at a reasonable cost, so that you can collate this type of valuable data.

Which brings me to free piece of sales consultation advice #2) Partition your admin space and client-facing sales space.

The owner and employee were talking amongst each other on the sales floor, behind the glass display case, about the fact that they might or might not be able to find someone to fill in a couple days a week for their schedules. As I was looking, I overheard this and, making conversation, asked when they would need someone for two days a week, to which he replied, "Well, actually, this is a private business conversation." Hint: if your clientele can hear you, it is not a private business conversation.

Now, you have potentially admonished a client who you know has disposable enough income to buy several hundred dollar cardboard rectangles from you, just because he was curious about the conversation you were having right in front of his face. This is an extremely rude way to interact in a client-facing role, and definitely didn't make me want to stick around any longer than was necessary.

Other than that it's fine, prices are fair I guess, if you feel like sifting through binders of cards to not find whatever it is you might be...

First time coming to the shop and I was impressed on how it was ran.

Made a reservation for an event over the phone and the employee made a mistake and wrote me down for the wrong day. Mistakes happen and I understand that, but I was really impressed of the owner’s problem solving and fixing the problem.

The store is quite spacious with a playing area on one side and a store front as you walk in. The store front was clean and well organized. Their playing area was clean and well organized as well. I enjoyed the set up of their tables and chairs, as it made it easy to walk around

They do an amazing job at updating their events in their website and FB page. Their events seem really fun and they have event for most of the popular games ( magic, Lorcana, Star Wars, etc..) their events descriptions are well written and detailed.

My friends and I enjoyed our first visit at the shop. Will be back...

Come for the comics/games/collectibles, hang around a bit for the warm, friendly, and knowledgeable owners. My boyfriend and I stopped in to take advantage of Free Comic Book Day and wound up buying a couple of other things in the process. We had a lovely conversation with the family that owns the store during our visit. The store not only has a large selection of comics classic and new, but they have tabletop games of all kinds, figurines, and of course Funkos. They've also got an arcade! Go visit as...
