🌟Assabet Park 🌟Corner of Gale Road & South Street (RT 135) Northborough, MA 01532 🌟Ample Parking 🌟Best for ages 0-5 🌟 3/4 fenced in (majority is fenced in, only small area that isn’t), Porta Potty & Sunscreen dispenser available. Small pavilion with picnic table. Benches & lots of grassy areas available. Perfect for a picnic. 🌟 Several climbing structures for different ages. Surrounding these is a “road” complete with road signs and gas station. Several ride on vehicles were available to use. Perfect to bring a scooter. The toddler structure also has a hot wheels track. Large flat area for chalk drawing also available. 🌟Splash Pad also available during the summer. Check hours before going. Fenced in with picnic tables. 🌟Close to Northborough library & Ellsworth McAfee Park. Thanks to contributor Billie Raymond for reviewing this park!

We love this park, there's a basketball court and the splash pad being next to it is a big plus during the warmer days. Great playground for younger kids as it's all fenced in and a decent amount of equipment. There's a bench and seats for grownups. We've packed picnics here and there's a some shaded areas to eat under. There's only portable restrooms available for this park, so not really a place to change if you're coming for the splash pad; make sure to come dressed in swimsuits. Parking is set in an uphill angle; makes bringing a stroller or wheelchair down from the parking area a bit tricky but manageable.

It has been recently reopened after it has been fully renovated and redesigned. Nicely maintained. Some new trees 🌳 have been planted that will take some time to grow and provide shades. It has got now new splash pad, Port-a potty, new playground that has got everything in as newly installed. Loved the idea that they have put the covered sitting areas / tables near the splash pad. For kids 3-6 years, this is worth visiting if you stay nearby. Thanks to everyone for this small nice place for kids and family.

This is a great little park, especially in the summer when the splash pad opens up.

The park is nicely enclosed and very safe, with a good range of equipment for infants as well as toddlers, plus older kids. The sand pit is lovely and has some toys. Plenty of swings for a range of children and benches around the play area.

The splash pad is pretty large, lot of room for kids to run around with various jets of water shooting out which is great for a range of kids but probably better for toddlers plus, rather than little infants.

There isn't much in the way of seating or shade at the splashpad either, so perhaps worth bringing something to sit on as it's quite hard concrete with only a couple of picnic bench/tables.

Not much in the way of restrooms either which is a shame. A couple of dodgy portaloo's.

The parking is to one side, there is a fair bit of it, but some of it can be a little steep if you've got to carry a little one,...

Very clean park with a good play area for kids 12 months +. Always a ton of trucks in the sandbox. The splash pad is a great feature in the summer (note: you have to keep pushing the top of the purple hydrant in the middle to keep the water going - it does about a 1 minute loop through all of the water features and then shuts off - slightly annoying it's not a bit longer and someone has to "man" this station...and there are limited instructions). I always found it hard to figure out the hours...2017 days/times are: (June 17-September 4) M/W/F 12-6, weekends 10-4,...
