Hillside Grill — Restaurant in Northborough

Great cheese steak! Looking forward to trying more of their menu.

I was on a mission to find a good cheese steak in the area (it's surprising how few sub shops actually have them) when I stumbled upon this little gem during a google search. It was only 8 minutes away yet I had never noticed it before.  Now that I've tried it, I will definitely be going back!

The cheese steaks were hot and cheesy, with lots of shaved steak in relation to the bread (a complaint I've seen in reviews of other places) and with options like onions, peppers, mushrooms, etc.  Everything you could want in a good cheese steak, with a choice of fries or onion rings on the side - hot and crispy.

We also ordered the potato skins (at the top of their appetizer menu) since those caught my eye -- smothered in cheese and with nice big chunks of crispy bacon (not those sad little crumbs of bacon bits) with a side of sour cream.

We got takeout, but I went and ordered in person so I could get a feel for this new-to-me place.  The interior was clean, with about a dozen tables for dine in, but the takeout traffic was crazy on a Friday night.  It was clear that they had a loyal following of regular customers, which speaks volumes.  Will order ahead next time, but the wait gave me time to think about all the other things I wanted to order -- particularly looking forward to tasting their Gyros and what looked like an awesome pastrami sandwich as...

This restaurant gave us big surprises! We were exhausted after 4 soccer games and randomly searched this one by Google yesterday. The restaurant is neat, clean with good variety of but all very tasty food!!! Two gentlemen are very nice! We tried gyro sandwiches, cheese and steak, and grilled cheese. Very delicious! The fries — not healthy but awesome!!! The fries are not paired to almost all other places around central MA (at least)! Crunchy, tasty but not salty nor bland.

Girls requested coming back again the second day after another day of several soccer games. They are right — very good hot dogs and cheeseburger! I wanted some clear soup that is not on the menu. I told the gentleman that that’s ok, but I just feel tired and exhausted after watching several games in the sun since 8 today. The gentleman made tomato soup and coffee for me. Very caring people!

In the end, my girls and I both agree that we would come back again and try other dishes in the menu, pasta, salad, pizza…

This is a nice little location tucked in between the two gyms it shares the parking lot with. My girlfriend and I stopped in before she hit the gym when I got out of work. We shared a chicken strip and fry basket. Unfortunately they apparently don't have a separate fryer for their fish menu because the chicken was not only battered with fish batter, it was also clearly fried in oil that had many times been used to fry fish. The employees were outside when I came in and did not return inside until I was done.
