*response to owner's reply: trying to make excuses for your bad business ethics, dishonesty, and disrespectful treatment towards your "good" customer just shows the value system of your company...Of course I'm not going to come in and look at an exhaust, because I don't know what I'm looking at, since I'm not a mechanic, (makes sense, right?). That's also a pretty ridiculous thing to ask someone to do after you've had their car for almost 8 hours (in which I'm pretty sure any person would just want and expect their car to be fixed at the price they were quoted at that point), instead of consistently being hustled for more money and talked to like garbage (to the point where I felt anxious every time I had to interact with any of the overtly aggressive guys that work at the front desk). The point is that you tried to charge me $150 more because you had to cut something off to complete the work, which not only makes no sense, but is irrelevant to an already quoted price. This is also not an isolated incident, but you have in fact found ways to charge me extra money every time I brought my car in for service, including to replace terrible tires that you sold me under "warranty" (that get punctured and go flat at least once every three months), as well as repeatedly telling me that my tpms sensors were bad and trying to charge me $75 every time I brought aforementioned tires in to be repaired (which I began getting checked beforehand to make sure I was being told the truth-which of course I wasn't). And after this last and final incident, I can conclude that I've probably been lied to about the THOUSANDS of dollars of other work you told me I needed, which is why I am now livid. Maybe try to take responsibility for your obvious greed, and repeated dishonest behavior towards a person who trusted you, instead of deflecting, lying to, and gaslighting your customer. And the worst part is that this is all done under the guise of being a Christian business, with scripture on the sign outside of your building, which is the absolute most appalling thing of all...My only hope is that people will read this post, as well as your flippant and careless response, and avoid being taken advantage of, and the nightmare I've experienced with this place.
*original post: I've taken my car here several times, and each time they have tried to add more charges on to an already quoted estimate, or tried to find some way to charge me extra for something random (not to mention charging me to replace tires that were supposed to be under warranty, because it was somehow my fault the tires they sold me wore out in less than a year). Several of the workers have acted aggressive and rude towards me, and are extremely unprofessional and abrasive (examples of direct quotes: "let me educate you on cars, since you don't seem to understand" and "we don't have time to be waiting for your return call" and many many more.... At this point, I question the honesty and ethics of this place, and definitely don't recommend it to anyone who is looking to be treated with respect. I wish I never went here, and could get back all of the money they've...

4/11/25 car needed timming chain called up NTP had my car towed there figured out what was wrong gave me a quote. it was expensive fix so id have to wait a lil bit time i was ready with the money while setting up my appmnt i was told hey we found a different parts guy or something and we got the part $100 cheaper than the orig quote. awesome! saved $100 there and was also told i MIGHT need a new cam shaft but wont know until they get into it. well turns out i didnt need one which is good because it was $500+/- addition to the orig cost. i just love the honesty of this company. they explain what exactly needs done (in laymans terms too) and they could have made themselves that $100 and coulda of charged for cam shaft and i never would known the difference but i come here for their honesty and fair pricing. keep up the good work!!!!
4/16 so Northfield Tire totally goes above and beyond for their customers I have broken down on the turnpike after having a repair done a couple days ago by them I knew they would honor the repairs and everything that wasn't an issue but I figured I'd call him and let him know I broke down but I never assumed they would actually come and get me and work on getting me a tow home from Sandusky they honored their warranty went above and beyond with the repairs of my car again at no charge for me that and they reimbursed me for my tow.. this is why I continue to come to Northfield Tire for honesty and going above and beyond to help their customers thanks again for everything shout out to Brandon at Northfield Tire Pros thanks for everything you did...
Read moreBE AWARE!! This is a very unfortunate reality I faced with Northfield Tire. They quoted me at $170 an hour for labor cost to swap out my heater hoses on my 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan!! Normally they charge $150 per hour but they charged me more since I brought my own part since it would have taken them longer to have it delivered on their end. Fair enough! Shops are in business to make money, I get that. They wouldn’t guarantee the part, even though they were going to order the exact same part (I confirmed the part number with them) and also decided to charge me $40 dollars extra in labor for bringing them the part (hence the $170 per hour). That is simply an unfair and outrageous price to charge a customer for standard automotive mechanic work. Their reason was “We had to promise our mechanics $100k-$150k per year so we have to charge $150 per hour”. Sorry, that’s not my business. You have a duty to treat customers fairly and charge the going rate for auto repairs. I, and my entire family, have been loyal customers of theirs for over 20 years!!! This is simply taking advantage of customers for no good reason. There are plenty of qualified mechanics that charge around $90 and hour. I chose to work with Bob at Boyce Automotive company on route 82. He was honest, gave a fair assessment and charges a fair hourly rate of $90 per hour. Be aware of who you are paying for auto repairs. Don’t let them take advantage of you! Get other quotes and be fair to yourself. They should really reconsider their business model and do right by the very people that keep them in business. Thanks for all the years of work you have done for me. However, I will no longer be allowing you to rip me off. $150 an hour!!...
