We ordered the Sorelle Providence collection in white back in November for our baby on the way. First our order was postponed 3 times - and never postponed until the day it was supposed to arrive in wear house, so there was no warning. It wasn’t until the third time and I was now 9 months pregnant, Value City actually went to pick up my furniture themselves because it was at the manufacturer but never getting shipped.
As for damage- we got our nightstand and changing table - the night stand came damaged pretty bad. We ordered both the tall and long dressers - both had very minor issues with paint which we chose to just accept and move on. We also purchased the crib - there was a dent on the headboard and warped wood on the footboard - we bought a 4-in-1 so that our child never needs new furniture, of course the head and footboard are the 2 key pieces to this set. The factory even went as far as using a paint pen that rubbed right off to the touch. Thankfully an exchange is being processed for both crib and night stand but we spent good money on solids wood furniture expecting quality that would last.
We then decided to order the parts for the convertible crib for both toddler bed and full size so that we didn’t have to worry. We ordered these through buy buy baby. The full size were in perfect condition, but the toddler bed rail had a very large crack throughout the wood on one of the rails - and yet again it was attempted to be covered up with paint - it is very obvious that crack was there pre-painting.
Overall, I LOVE the set itself but I’m extremely disappointed with the craftsmanship- which I honestly thought is what we paid the heavy price for.
UPDATE: Dave from Sorelle personally reached out to me in regards to my experience. He was very understanding toward my frustration and extremely apologetic. He made sure to take care of everything. He gave us a complimentary night stand for our troubles and replace the damaged one, and also replaced the damaged crib. Within just a few days Sorelle was delivering and setting up the furniture. Read moreI’m rating it two stars due to their job being not taken seriously at all. It was just terrible, sadly. However the people in the parts department were super nice and helpful which I was thankful for. But still, oh my god, only if they took this simple job seriously, the whole mess could had been avoided.
I ordered a hardware kit for my crib since in the original hardware kit, some parts were missing. I paid $45 for this and I requested for the tracking number so I can track it down but I was told no I did not need it. Oh okay. Two weeks for it to arrive. Okay, great. I had been waiting for whole two weeks and it had been passed with no package.
So, I called the parts department to find out what’s going on. I was finally given the tracking number which I could had it earlier but okay. So I tracked it down and I found out it was dropped off at a random pick up location which was odd. It could had been sent to MY building instead of at a random pick up location. But whatever. On Thursday, I went there and found out it wasn’t there then I was told to come back on Friday. Ok cool. On Friday, I couldn’t pick it up right away due to my sonogram appointment.
So, I called UPS to make sure if my package is still there and can someone else beside me pick it up. I’m glad I called. Someone at UPS told me the package had been sent back to the original place where I ordered. UGH! And guess what? the package already had been there SINCE SEPT 3!! Omg, it just made me even more upset because only if I was given the stupid tracking number earlier, I could had it and had the crib set up already.....
Anyways, the whole point is that people at the parts department, sadly, are not taking their jobs very seriously at all. I was greatly disappointed by their work ethic. I mean, I paid $45 for this, that was a lot of $$ and I would appreciate that if they are taking it seriously and makes sure their customers has it in their hands.
However, they told me they will ship it back to me by Monday so I’m hoping this time it’s gonna be much more better and if it does, I will give it more stars but for now, two stars based on their work...
Read moreI honestly don't know if I can find the words to justify the quality of the experience I had. This company truly surprised me with their customer service and generosity in helping me fix my daughter's bed. I bought a sorelle crib that turns in to a full size bed for my daughter 9 years ago. I even bought the matching dresser It has been amazing. And after years of my two kids being kids (probably jumping on the bed) part of the Frame broke where the sides meet the footboard. I was at truly at lost of what to do to fix and repair this. I was about to either improvise and place some sort of 2x4 or something to prop It up for the next 9 or so years or have to go out and find a new bed and possibly a new dresser to go along with it. So I got online with Sorelle furniture to see if I could first see if the bed was even still in stock. It wasn't. So then I began looking for something that would match. There where some good options but since I live now states away from anyone that sells sorelle furniture it wasn't something I could just go and look at and pick up. So I decided to email the company to see if I could get the part just replaced. Even after I wrote the email I figured it was a lost cause and i would have to wait for weeks for a reply back. But the reason why I tell you this long story that I am sure we all have dealt with at some point in our lives is becuase I didn't have to feel like it was a lost cause for very long. In fact it was the very same day that this company responded to me and even called me to get pictures of where the bed was broken and told me that they would ship the pieces to me free of charge. The whole experience with this company has left me very thankful and impressed that there are still big companies out there that truly value helping their customers and going the extra mile or two help their products last even longer in your kids life. I think it was Matt or Dave that helped me out with this based on my emails. But their customer service was well worth the time it took to leave a review for the. And this company.
