Wild Honey Salon — Attraction in Norwood

The best salon and stylist experience I’ve ever had hands down. I don’t plan on ever leaving this place as long as Melissa is in Cincinnati! I became a new client of Melissa’s in the spring. She did a beautiful job with brightening up my color and giving me a fresh look for summer. She also was just a great human. Such a lovely person to talk to and if you don’t want to talk she also gives you the option to just chill and enjoy the time to yourself.

I then scheduled an appointment for toner and a fresh cut just this past week. I wanted to change it up and go shorter. I’m always nervous doing this because with my curly hair I’ve had some bad experiences with cutting it short and usually regret it immediately. That was far from my experience this time! I’m obsessed with my hair and can’t wait to go back to keep it this length (I usually avoid the salon at all costs 🫣). I’ve gotten so many compliments, too. Oh, and I also got a product she recommended because it was super affordable and I love it as well.

Ok, so I’ve long been roughly a 6 at best. And I’m fine with it! Many have it worse. And over the years I’ve acclimated to my position on society’s totem pole. But then Lisa cut my hair. At first the attention from random strangers was flattering: a couple of winks, an errant hand run through the hair, an ask for a referral. But things have only escalated since. I’m now getting DMs from total strangers, I can’t walk to the store without enduring the whistles of passers by, I had someone recognize me at the DMV! This salon canceled their appointment they made with me, for tomorrow, just now. I made the appointment months in advance. I wouldn't make the mistake of relying on them to get your hair done. The salon claims that because they didn't hear from me they canceled the appointment. I've had no contact from them since I made the appointment except to confirm it, which I did. Don't book with Melissa if you value your time. I took Vacation at work to get my hair done, and I really needed it for a funeral this weekend. Now I'm stuck frantically trying to find another salon...
