Cancun Mexican — Restaurant in Norwood

Let me just say that I love Mexican food! Ok... I love Americanized Mexican food... ok I love fajitas. lol

But this location recently opened up down the street from me, and I had a Val-Pak coupon, so I decided to hit it up with the bf. I was a little leery at first as it's attached to the Holiday Inn (or maybe it was a Comfort inn... not that it matters) and it seemed that it took forever to open! But when we walked in I was totally and pleasantly surprised! This place was huge! and had plenty of seating options! There were also big screen tv in easily viewable yet inconspicuous places throughout so if you wanted to watch the game you could, and if not, you really didn't notice them.

I felt brave that night and decided against my normal fajita or enchilada combo that I get just about every freakin time i go to a place like this. Hey go with what you love right?! But I wasn't sure what I was craving, so the Acapulco Special for me it was! It was a mix of steak and chicken and shrimp, and veggies and guac, and even fajita wraps if i wanted them! Perfect for my I-don't-know-what-the-heck-i-want tummy. It. Was. A-freakin-mazing! even the bf's food was really good.

The margarita's were incredibly low priced, and incredibly strong as well! I was thinking about docking it a star maybe a half, as the server wasn't around as much as I'd have liked during the meal, but then 1. I realized he was also tending the bar, and 2. the food was just too freakin amazing. I will definately be back here, and this may just kick me out of my normal...

The whole experience was decent but not decent enough that I felt I had to leave a huge tip because we were not checked on and our order was incorrect . the crew were edgy and not professional even when i brought up the fact that i felt like they were being rude . he then turned and said something in Spanish to another worker who smiled but didn't correct the action. The tip was on the Receipt since i did not have charge but i still out down what i had in cash . The worker would've seen that head he got me a better pen instead of ignoring me when I asked so I could finish writing the tip he went straight to the dollar bill on the table picked it up and threw it back down asking what is this in a very rude way. I understand people working hard but unless you can survey the whole situation I don't believe you can jump to conclusions and try to be rude to people and still expect a tip after. and that pretending to not speak English thing is really getting old and it's also disrespectful. I do not find it funny to be laughed at in language that I don't speak . literally all it took was just for that man to take a minute and look at me riding with the ink pen and not looking at the money...

Disgusting. We got the chicken cheese and rice combo as a carry out, there was no cheese and it was very dry, the chicken was burnt on some pieces and barely cooked on others, On one of our dishes there was a long straight black hair, we called to inform the staff we were coming for a refund. 5 minutes later we got there and there were 5 staff members at the front door waiting for us, one being the manager, he was very rude. He made us find the hair and show him and stated that none of his people in the kitchen had that length hair so it couldn’t be from them and that they wouldn’t fix it.We went back and forth telling them it couldn’t be our blonde and curly hair finally he says he will give us our money to which he didn’t give us the right amount. I payed $43 for two IS specials, and two drinks when the specials are 17.50 a piece?? He handed me $35 and said that was the right amount, once i showed him the calculator he tried to say i was wrong and barely gave me the money. He then called us stupid and said that it was not our fault.
