For visitors to Kailua Park the best way to get to Lanikai Beach is walk since there is limited parking in the neighborhood. On your way you will pass the Lanikai Monument which makes for a breathtaking view of the bay area and Popoia Island (Flat Island). It can be very windy there so hold on to your hat!
