Krekel Civic Center — Attraction in O’Fallon

I had my wedding reception there in October 2019 and was extremely disappointed. The facility could not get the WiFi or the TVs to work even though I had written access to them in my contract, wasting a video I had ordered to be played at the reception. The on site staff wore a lime green hoodie and sweatpants to help work a formal event. When a problem arose at the reception, I (the bride) was pulled out of my reception by staff for half an hour when I specifically had hired a Day of Coordinator to handle any and all issues that day. The staff was incredibly rude and difficult to work with from the moment we stepped in the building until the moment we left. Unfortunately, I will never be able to relive my wedding day and being treated poorly by the staff and forced to leave my reception for half an hour was a terrible thing to happen. I am extremely disappointed with the Krekel Center, the on site staff (Pam), as well as the director (Emily), and do not suggest anyone use this venue for any type of formal, semi formal or...

We had our wedding reception at Krekel. We had about 130 people and the space was perfect & we still had additional room. The staff leading up to the event were fantastic help- they responded to questions in a timely manner. We had a walk through about 60 days out and talked through all details. On the day of the reception, everything went smoothly. Their staff member onsite helped with any requests. Trash was well maintained & the bathrooms were spotless. Can't recommend enough if you are looking for a budget...

Had my daughter's sweet 16 party there and she loved ever minute if it! It was perfect for the amount of people we had! She felt very special and the staff were amazing for us. We had NO issues with cleanliness or the staff helping clean anything. The bathrooms were very clean had soap and the staff were on top of emptying the trash asking if we needed anything and even asked how things were going. I would definitely rent again at the Krekel Civic center!! Thank you for making my daughter's bday...
