The place looked promising and we would rather support a local business owner over a chain every day of the week! The waitress was friendly and told us that it would take a little bit to get our order as they just took the order for a table of five. We said we understood and that was fine... What we didn't realize was that none of the other about 12 folks in the dining room had received their food either. The waitress told us how wonderful the biscuits and gravy are, so we ordered that for my wife, and I asked for a ham and cheese omelet. It turns out they sold out of biscuits & gravy! Okay that happens my wife decides to go with a couple of pancakes, an egg and a sausage patty. We had been waiting for about a half hour and asked for something to hold us over as our blood sugar was dropping a little bit from not eating yet. We decided on a "Hello Dolly" which was very sweet but tasty. After sitting there for another hour or so waiting on our food we asked how much longer and were told it would be another 15 - 20 minutes, so we paid for what we did receive and left! It's a sad comment on our society that you get better service at a filling station (Quick Trip) then a...
Read moreLove this place! We live in Washington state and we were here for a wedding. I have celiacs disease and can’t have gluten. We googled gluten free breakfast places and found this place. So glad we did. There were so many options. The breakfast was fantastic! It was flavorful and gluten free. They had delicious homemade gluten free syrups. I tried the cinnamon and lemon favored ones with my waffle. Didn’t think I would care for the lemon one, but it was so good. My husband ended up eating half of my waffle and he couldn’t believe it was gluten free. I ended up purchasing a mini banana loaf and pumpkin loaf to take home. They were still warm from the oven. I decided to purchase 2 other dessert bars to take home and freeze. They also have regular breakfast items that are NOT gluten free. We owner, Jennifer, was also very friendly and we enjoyed talking with her. I sure wish we had something like this where we live in Lakewood, WA. Thanks, Jennifer, for a...
Read moreI come here often and have never once been disappointed. I am a celiac (major wheat/rye/barley allergy) and have always felt safe eating here and I have never had a reaction to their gluten free offerings. I would strongly recommend coming here as the staff are super friendly and personable. There may/will be a wait for food as they cook from scratch but it is definitely worth the wait, plus gluten free food takes a while to make already. I strongly recommend going on the weekdays they are open as weekends are incredibly busy. Their gluten free desserts are also delicious and I encourage trying all they have to offer (specifically the crumb cakes but they do have other things like cinnamon rolls, cookies, and other assorted desserts). Prices are reasonable and the portions are decently sized. I had a full stack of blueberry pancakes, and while I probably should not have eaten that much, I am glad I did as they...
